Team News

Liverpool
Crystal Palace
  • James Milner will miss out against Crystal Palace after coming off injured in Sunday's Merseyside derby. Jurgen Klopp will hope to have Andrew Robertson back here.
  • Joel Matip is also unlikely to feature after suffering an ankle injury at Goodison Park. Joe Gomez will return to the XI as a result.
  • Mo Salah was not risked against Everton despite making the matchday squad but should return to the fold here.
  • Fabinho was poor in parts against Everton and it would not be a surprise if he dropped out of the side against Crystal Palace.
  • Georginio Wijnaldum should return to the starting XI in midweek, with Naby Keita likely dropping out.
  • Defensive trio James Tomkins, Martin Kelly and Jeffrey Schlupp will all miss out against Liverpool on Wednesday night, though only the former would normally have start.
  • The only potential changes for Crystal Palace from their win away to Bournemouth last time out will be in central midfield. James McCarthy and Max Meyer are on standby.

Prediction

  • Liverpool's wait to be confirmed champions continues after only a 0-0 draw with Everton on Sunday. Unless Manchester City slip up on Monday night, they can not win the title here.
  • Crystal Palace picked up from where they left off before the break with a 2-0 win away to Bournemouth on Saturday night. The Eagles have won four in a row in the Premier League.
  • Former Liverpool boss Roy Hodgson has done a terrific job at Palace this season and the Eagles start the midweek games sandwiched between Arsenal and Tottenham in the table.
  • Liverpool are favourites to win here but they should not expect an easy ride from a flying Palace outfit.

  • Good show, Roy Hodgson.

  • sort your fucking shit out whoscored.. paddypower probably make millions off mistakes like this. flashscore livescore twitter and bbc all say 91st minute salah has his shot stopped by hennessy

  • @moore3589 Same as me mate. I had 8 plus shots on target Salah was obviously a shot on target. Also van Dijk also first half when shot hit the post and come back to him. He shots on target and defender clears for a corner. Should really be 9 shots on target Fucking disgrace

  • salahs attempt on target in the 91st minute has gone down as a blocked shot by sakho, meaning paddypower wont pay out on bets. Hennessy clearly saved it, if he didn't get to it then it was in the far corner

  • Liverpool will win the title if Man City drop points against Chelsea.

  • @nexus747 I know.

  • Nice to see Liverpool are playing a very strong side.Salah starts unlike the last game when he was on the bench.

  • 3-0

  • @nexus747 I'll be shocked if Crystal Palace didn't win 2-1.

  • @SeuneMilmas Shocks are part of your everyday life.

  • @SeuneMilmas Whatever

  • o9.5 corners

  • billion of corners and 1-0

  • 3-1
