- Paul Pogba surely played his way back into the starting XI with an inspired performance from the bench against Tottenham on Friday night.
- With Pogba in the starting XI, Ole Gunnar Solskjaer will have to drop one of Fred or Scott McTominay or change to a 4-3-1-2 system.
- Daniel James struggled against Tottenham and should drop to the bench regardless of the above.
- Mason Greenwood, who scored against Sheffield United in the reverse fixture, would replace James if Solskjaer sticks to a 4-2-3-1 system.
- Victor Lindelöf came off late into Friday's draw with Tottenham with a minor knock. Eric Bailly will start if Lindelof is not deemed fit enough by Wednesday.
- Brandon Williams is also an option at full-back if Solskjaer wants more fresh legs for the welcome of Sheffield United.
- John Fleck returned from injury on Sunday but it made no difference as Sheffield United were surprisingly beaten 3-0 by Newcastle.
- To make matters worse for Chris Wilder's Champions League chasing side, they have now lost centre-back John Egan to suspension after his red card.
- Jack O'Connell has missed Sheffield United's first two games since the league restarted and Wilder will hope to have him available on Wednesday night.
- Dean Henderson will have to sit out due to the terms in his loan agreement from Manchester United, with Simon Moore coming into the starting XI as a result.
- Sander Berge has struggled in Sheffield United's last two matches and should make way for John Lundstram at Old Trafford.
- David McGoldrick is a doubt for the away side, with Lys Mousset in line to replace Billy Sharp up front after his success in the reverse fixture.
Could've been 4 easily so far, chances Manchester wasted were ridiculous.
@Byakuya Rather, changes Rashford wasted were ridiculous. He's a joke.
@nikoanzai The Guy is just coming back from injury. Two assists in one match is not joke
@nikoanzai Far from a joke considering 2 assists he provided, 1 mistake by Martial and 2 from Rashford
@Byakuya He's had a good game today, but that doesn't change the fact that he's a joke.
@nikoanzai 14 goals and 6 assists in 24 games, his performance didn't go down despite being heavily injured mid-season. Nice joke
@Byakuya Yes, but still a joke. As long as Man United have him (and start him in every match), they'll never win anything.
@nikoanzai Such a stupid comment, you really do not know football.
@Aereze How old are you btw?
best team possible
difficult game, the houses think that it will be a game of many goals. But it won't be, I've been following Sheff for months and I guarantee it's an UNDER game. Man United will have a lot of difficulty in the game, I believe they win, but it is not a game of many goals, only HANDICAP + 1.5 / 2.0 is worth for this game.
Fernandes and Pogba start together in midfield.United name a very strong side.
@nexus747 Man United that is :)
0-0, both teams are lousy.
United will be putting out performances during these last few games, don't expect them to do anything but win here
3-0
@nexus747 I'll be shocked if Sheffield United didn't draw 1-1
1X&over 1,5
easy 2-0 or 4-0
6-0 Manchester United, Bruno brace, Rashford, Martial, Pogba, Fred.
MU 3-0
So Sheffield United gets 2 days to prepare, whilst Man United gets 4. Seems fair........
