I suspect Liverpool have lost intentionally so that opposing fans can claim they are "fake champions" and that their team is sooooo much better. It's much more uplifting to celebrate a championship at the sound of the detractors howling and whining :-P
@CellarDarko +20 PTS is the exact opposite of a fluke, never before has the Championship been decided after fewer match days. Just think about all the teams that Liverpool won against where City drew or lost.
Liverpool fans before the game: Best team ever in PL, Klopp will protect his pride, we'll get over 100 points. Same fans after the game: It was like a training, this game meant nothing, still 20 points ahead.
@moo13 I call bullsh*t. There are some things called honour and pride. If you are a champion, you should behave like a champion in EVERY competitive game! This game is still competitive. Ergo, Liverpool are not true champions.
@splint3r Honor and pride... Man City is an artificial petro club credibly accused of having committed serious financial fraud over years. Criminal stuff, not just missing a few guidelines. They are lucky that(/if?) they get to keep their previous titles and are about to disintegrate when the 2 year CL ban hits and everybody runs away/ isn't interested. If you want to restore honor and pride, relegate Man City.
@splint3r Obviously moo13 was just taking a piss, but still managed to get the salt out from other fans, yeah, other fans that don't even support City.
Very intense match like last encounters with these clubs, very entertaining to watch! Liverpool have been wasteful and committed some untypical errors, particularly Robertson who played himself out in 2nd and 3rd goal. Nevertheless, City have been much stronger side and will give a better challenge for the title next season if they can get rid of their defensive errors. I think it's clear KDB should finally win the player of the season award.
3-1 to Liverpool. Feels like people have forgot that Fernandinho and Aguero is out, two players that have been one of their most vital players in earlier games.
Hell with it, I'll join leo here and say 0-0. That sounds about right for a match that was probably scheduled so late in the season to have some sort of grand implications but now doesn't mean a damned thing in actuality.
@uefalona It's a good question. They might relax and play even better or they might drop a little. As others have said Klopp will probably use more of the squad.
@uefalona You'll probably see Klopp give some of the bench a bit of playing time but I doubt he'll just keep his stars off the pitch entirely. Mixed squad for the rest of the season is my guess.
@stefanm Yeah, for viewer ratings you're probably right in regards to this particular match-- a pitch full of stars, a load of close calls, handful of cards, and a disappointingly low scoreline at the end of 90.

@BeautifulLoser No. They are just not as good as people and the media make them out to be. City are still the best team in the league.
@splint3r Sure. It's a media conspiracy that Liverpool lead with +20 pts. You're funny. Please do write more!
You call them Champions? God, winning a fluke season like this one shouldn't even be counted.
@CellarDarko Hahaha! This is a good one!

I can imagine this is what most non-City/Liverpool fans are gonna tell their grandsons that this is their greatest joy in 19/20, lol
@arcglenum nope, city hammering madrid more joy to watch
@axelxyz That's probably as high as your country's average height.
De Bruyne the real MoTM.

@Byakuya Looks more like a protest game Klopp's playing with FSG after being told theres no money for transfers.
Totally expected, after securing the title Liverpool obviously had a huge mental release...this game meant totally nothing for them.

Liverpool:we are the champions City:we are going to congratulate you with 4-0
Liverpool are frauds. Fake champions. If you didn't believe it before, now you see it.
@splint3r 20 points ahead, the biggest lead in the history of English football. Keep crying.
@Nico1 Video Assisting Reds
@splint3r Man United?
@arcglenum Nope, ManU are the Red Devils ;)
@splint3r "Glory glory United... And the ??? go marching"
Liverpool couldn"t score a goal in their last 3 away games. 2 losses, 1 draw, 0-7 goals
Absolutely spanked
@HandofGod Just like City were in the title race this season
Liverpool with more possession than City ... :-)
perfect for these scouser fans to be knocked down a peg ,congrats to the team though
Wow, completely destroyed!
This game must feel like playing for Arsenal again for Oxlade-Chamberlain.
Foden is really good as a winger, they don't need a replacement for Sané ...

Liverpool wasting their chances.
what a domination by City tonight.
@stefanm Domination ? possession 50-50 and shots 5-4 ...
@neumi17 you spoke way too early
@GioMonaldo Or stefanm did
@neumi17 result talks.
soft pen
@Clarity Literally grabbed his balls, stone wall.
@Clarity No, it was correct. Gomez was clearly holding him back.
@Clarity very soft
Who's laughing now, Gomez?
Liverpool win.
@What4 Go to sleep.
Welcome to Bayern Munich Leroy Sané !
I think i'll watch real madrid game instead
@NuchalLine Likewise, I'll be flipping the tele when that match commences.
Both teams have named strong sides which is nice to see.
@nexus747 I'll be shocked if Liverpool didn't win 3-0.
@SeuneMilmas I always enjoy your comedy.
Over 1.5 1st half
Liv gotta win this. It's a matter of lion's pride, at least it should be like this in their minds.
@dzvinka They just showed that they don't have any pride. Or honour.
Klopp says he wants to get to 100 points so i can see them playing a strong side despite already winning the EPL.
@nexus747 Watch them end up with 99 points now. Never a good idea to make such specific goals public in my opinion.
@nexus747 I hope they get the record. Just winning the domestic league would be a low yield for how they played this season.
3-1 to Liverpool. Feels like people have forgot that Fernandinho and Aguero is out, two players that have been one of their most vital players in earlier games.

Do you think Liverpool won't bother with these remaining games, or do they want to win them and get the most points?
@uefalona It's a good question. They might relax and play even better or they might drop a little. As others have said Klopp will probably use more of the squad.
@uefalona Klopp is a winner, so he will aim to win as many, but surely he will rotate. It is not contradiction.
@uefalona You'll probably see Klopp give some of the bench a bit of playing time but I doubt he'll just keep his stars off the pitch entirely. Mixed squad for the rest of the season is my guess.
@HandofGod this game is a spectacle for us the viewers on tv, so im sure he will start strong lineup
@stefanm Yeah, for viewer ratings you're probably right in regards to this particular match-- a pitch full of stars, a load of close calls, handful of cards, and a disappointingly low scoreline at the end of 90.
