Better performance than I expected. Glad both Tierney and Bellerín came through, and played well, but it shows the sheer desperation of our defensive situation atm that they have been rushed back. Martinelli led the line very well, Willock's runs from deep were good to see (there is a bit of Vieira/Diaby in him) and Chambers was brilliant. Positionally as much as anything. How a full back who earns a clean sheet, assists 3 times and has a 92% pass completion despite putting in crosses can only get a 9.3 rating is beyond me. Clearly he needs to add some pointless aerial challenges to his game. Nelson should start against Utd and it's clear by now that Özil just simply slows the game down. Smith-Rowe seems to be ok after his head injury so, along with Spurs being knocked out, a very good night.
@temitopetko- Dude, I've seen every second of the team this season and Özil's immobility slows the play down. We are considerably more dynamic without him in the team. It was night and day once he went off compared to when he was on the pitch.
@alxdru- He's more of an inside forward and like many IF can and does drift into the centre. He did that well in preseason off the left, though when he plays on the right, he plays more of a traditional winger role.
Bellerín and Tierney only played 60 minutes for the u23s so it's highly unlikely, and extremely risky, to start either of them here. Holding, however, has minutes under his belt including full games. I would start him but limit to 60 minutes with a view to him gradually increasing his first team minutes and eventually playing the full game against Bournemouth in early October. Torreira should start in the league, he has made an impact in every game while playing as a #8 so hopefully he doesn't play here but does against Utd on Monday. My team in full (4-2-3-1): Martinez, Chambers, Mustafi, Holding (c), Kolašinac, Willock, Burton, Nelson, Smith-Rowe, Saka, Martinelli. Would also like to see Mavropanos, Olayinka and Balogun come off the bench. It will be a good cup atmosphere with 8,500 Forest fans making the trip and I expect a tough match with Arsenal winning 2-1. The goal conceded via a Mustafi or Kolašinac positional error.
this game will be fun to watch because arsenal will make 5 to 6 changes to make the game more even for Nottingham Forest. I expect a 3-1 and a Europa league team with any combo saka nelson Ozil EMS Pepe attack maybe Martinelli and i hope KT and hector are ready to go and holding any ways i hope i see them all fit and playing

Gabriel Martinelli is better than Aubameyang.
@splint3r wow
Triple A's for Chambers, not bad.
The moment Özil left the field things got going and goals kept coming ...
Where is Pepe ?
Martinelli is a winger he never played a forward role

@alxdru Ha does well though
