RB formation was mostly 3-3-3-1 (when they had possession); changed that to 4-2-3-1 when Atletico had possession phases. No idea why WS changed it back
If we see the trend, one team is mostly a surprise one maybe Barca-MU was the last real dream final between the 2 best teams..Juventus 2 times, Atletico 2 times, Dortmund, Tottenham, Chelsea in 12 etc, so maybe now Leipzig will be this team.
@kopwill Hmmm I doubt it...I think Porto will remain as the last outsider to win a Champions League for the next decade or more. They have a chance against PSG to reach the finals though, I just think that Barcelona or Bayern will be too much for Leipzig, but I will be supporting them, dispite thinking it's very unlikely...
@wilde I predicted a very match for Atletico. But football doesn't work like if A > B and B > C then A will also beat C, because it's more about compatibility between playing styles and form of the team and players at the time they face each other.
Does anybody else get the impression they only call for VaR when they want to? I've seen so many ridiculous calls that I'm convinced if that contact on Lodi happened to another team they would have used VaR to give them a penalty.
@tkr that was a pathetic dive all night long even if var checked that. But did anybody saw when gulasci clipped saul in the first half? Unless I'm going blind as a bat, that should have definitely be reviewed by var. I'm baffled
Simeone needs to bring in ASAP Morata, Felix, and Vitolo, if he does not want to go down one goal, courteausy of his own idiocracy with the starting lineup! The ATM defense is outstanding so far, but you can only pressure them up to a point. The offense is flat so far!
@Zoltan Yeah, team appears to demonstrate no threat to anybody at all. Really lame. I hope this isn't going to be their strategy for the rest of the tournament - they're playing RBL after all.
@falcon_ranger I know it looked like he tripped himself. I'm watching the replay over and over again, keeper's right foot definitely made contact with Saul's left foot either sending his foot to clash with his right calf or Saul felt the contact and tried to make the most of it but for sure both players came in contact
When a real physical team plays against Atletico, they start acting like pu**ies and try to get the opponent players yellow/red card. Too bad they will succeed and RB will fall in their trap
@falcon_ranger Never seen them doing anything else, but more and more refs are catching up. This one knows it's all BS from them. Not even a yellow so far.
1-0 You play like Atletico if you want a chance against high quality teams like Liverpool despite being way worse. It's a a bad idea against weaker, well coached and physically strong teams like RB, but they're a one-trick pony.
@levn Well coached???? :))))) Give me a break! Werner did not play well in the entire 2nd half of the season because for some unexplainable reason Naglesmann switched Leipzig's style from counterattacks to centering into the area, sort of like the mindless Premiership teams (Brighton, Burnley). Werner hates that sort of playing style!
I am amazed Morata and Felix start on the bench.I have a gut feeling Simeone thinks they will win this easily and save Morata and Felix for the next game.
As a BL fan i would also say Atletico will win somehow, they are more experienced and overall still have the better players, but what makes me nervous is the fact that Leipzig are the best physically prepared team probably in the BL (Upa,Makiele,Konate,Orban,Poulsen,Schick,Sabitzer, Klosmann,Halstenberg, they are all animals and thats the strength of Atletico. Ill go with 1-1 and Atletico in PK, Oblak for MOM
Three of Atletico's last four league wins came after a 0-0 first half.Also, 12 of Atleti's last 14 goals in the competition have come in the second half.
RB formation was mostly 3-3-3-1 (when they had possession); changed that to 4-2-3-1 when Atletico had possession phases. No idea why WS changed it back
what a semi it could've been against Atalanta...
Real vs. Atletico and Barca vs. Juve were much more competitive than Barca vs. United.
@agunchev No way that Barca-MU in 2009, since 2010 Barca, Real and Bayern were the 3 sky high best teams, but never had played finals each others
Auf geht's, RasenBallsport! Julian Nagelsmann - remember the name!
Fire Simeone and bring sir Wenger while he is still capable!
@Patrikovic Simeone to Arsenal instead :)
A time as Simeone's Atletico de Madri deserve a lot of goals in the @ss.
Another failure for Cholo Simeone hahahahahhahahahahahha. Upamecano what a great player !
@stefanm best in the world, I want him, Van Dyk and Kulybaly in madrid 3-4-1-2
Nagelsmann probably is the most youngest coach to qualify a team to the semifinal of UCL, great performance by RL.
Barcelona are winning this.
@nceshNcero How did that turn out for you?
@nceshNcero they lost the league, lost the spanish super cup, lost the spanish normal cup... soon they will get knocked out from champions.
@nceshNcero Winning what ?
@neumi17 The Champions League.
@nceshNcero lol
Leipzig will pull off a Porto 2004 and Nagelsmann will be the new Mourinho
@kopwill Hmmm I doubt it...I think Porto will remain as the last outsider to win a Champions League for the next decade or more. They have a chance against PSG to reach the finals though, I just think that Barcelona or Bayern will be too much for Leipzig, but I will be supporting them, dispite thinking it's very unlikely...
Some guy commented here a few days ago that Bayern have no chance against Atletico and it turns out Atletico couldn't even beat Leipzig :D
@wilde I predicted a very match for Atletico. But football doesn't work like if A > B and B > C then A will also beat C, because it's more about compatibility between playing styles and form of the team and players at the time they face each other.
@hellreaper you're right, that's why I don't like when someone tells me that he's 100% sure what the result will be because it depends on many factors
@hellreaper hard match for Atletico*
I can see Rasenballsport beating PSG. German finale Bayern vs Rassenballsport.
@Patrikovic Barcelona* - Leipzig/PSG
@Patrikovic I'm hoping for that too!
greateful, Atletico trash team full of cheaters
what do you provide for the second half?
1-1, we're back in the business boys :) Felix is here!
@1NSAN3 He is recouvering from an injury but it's still the best player by far...But the best team qualified today.
@hellreaper yeah, for sure! I don't care about my lost bet, RBL deserved it.
@1NSAN3 ok, I'll show myself out now :'D
Does anybody else get the impression they only call for VaR when they want to? I've seen so many ridiculous calls that I'm convinced if that contact on Lodi happened to another team they would have used VaR to give them a penalty.
@tkr that was a pathetic dive all night long even if var checked that. But did anybody saw when gulasci clipped saul in the first half? Unless I'm going blind as a bat, that should have definitely be reviewed by var. I'm baffled
@1NSAN3 please if your are like a bat, go back to Wuhan.
65 and Atleti still sleeping...
@Davisson They woke up, clicked on snooze button and went back to bed.
Miss Correa..Need him
Im really not a huge fan of the new Match Centre layout, preferred the old one
@SaltySpeedbird me too. its awfull
@SaltySpeedbird Agreed
Thank you Atletico for screwing it up
Very nice finish by olmo. The goal had been coming
Simeone needs to bring in ASAP Morata, Felix, and Vitolo, if he does not want to go down one goal, courteausy of his own idiocracy with the starting lineup! The ATM defense is outstanding so far, but you can only pressure them up to a point. The offense is flat so far!

Wasn't Saul clipped by the goalkeeper in the penalty area? At least var should have asked the ref to take a look.
@1NSAN3 He clipped himself and VAR did check on that.
@falcon_ranger I know it looked like he tripped himself. I'm watching the replay over and over again, keeper's right foot definitely made contact with Saul's left foot either sending his foot to clash with his right calf or Saul felt the contact and tried to make the most of it but for sure both players came in contact
Leipzig better so far, but lack finishing. Impressive tactics and reactions from Nagelsmann.
@benj Sorry, meant for above comment.
@benj He clipped himself and VAR did check on that.

The only way Atletico will lose is if they have a 'hothead' like Costa getting a red card.He goes nuts in the big games.
1-0 You play like Atletico if you want a chance against high quality teams like Liverpool despite being way worse. It's a a bad idea against weaker, well coached and physically strong teams like RB, but they're a one-trick pony.

@Zoltan Are you Werner's brother or something? How do you know what he likes or hates?
@Zoltan You don't win a league with counterattacks. Every good team switches from that once they improved enough.
@Zoltan Oooh look a 'poorly coached team' just made it to the CL semis, funny old game...
@Zoltan Are you watching this game? Very interesting tactics here. Haven't watched Leipzig much, but their coach seems worth the hype.
red for Liepzig
@alxdru and assist for Lodi
I am amazed Morata and Felix start on the bench.I have a gut feeling Simeone thinks they will win this easily and save Morata and Felix for the next game.
@nexus747 I'll be shocked if Atleti didn't win 3-1
@SeuneMilmas HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA
odds dropping on overs, so 1-2 or 2-2
@koziol.mutant also late goal looks worthy idea
As a BL fan i would also say Atletico will win somehow, they are more experienced and overall still have the better players, but what makes me nervous is the fact that Leipzig are the best physically prepared team probably in the BL (Upa,Makiele,Konate,Orban,Poulsen,Schick,Sabitzer, Klosmann,Halstenberg, they are all animals and thats the strength of Atletico. Even expecting a draw is an insult to Atletico here, they'll win with clean sheet.
@Byakuya
I don't care how but Atletico MUST advance, 0-1.
Remember AM against Liverpool? AM to qualify
@Menzi yeah but Leipzig are a step up from Liverpool
@GioMonaldo They're really not
1-2 to away team
HT/FT draw-draw
1-3 Atletico.
My semifinalists: Atalanta, Rasenballsport, Bayern and City.
@Patrikovic already F
1-3 Leipzig will play without Werner and Sabizter.
0-1 Morata !
Leipzig to win
Leipzig would need Werner to win, without him Atletico should get this, they are solid in one game.
@BenXL 1-1 atlecio win with penalties
Very though match. It can go either way.
Atleti to qualify 1-0.
Arsenal target Nkunku will dominate the headlines here
Atletico win 1-0 Saul goal
