Arsenal
Chelsea
- Mikel Arteta has to decide between Kieran Tierney and Sead Kolasinac as one of Arsenal's three centre-backs in Saturday's FA Cup final. If the former gets the nod, then Bukayo Saka will start at left wing-back for Arsenal.
- Other than that, the rest of Arteta's starting XI should be relatively straightforward. Nicolas Pepe will hope to get the nod alongside Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang and Alexandre Lacazette in Arsenal's attacking trio.
- N'Golo Kante has returned to training after missing Chelsea's Premier League run-in but may only make the bench on Saturday.
- With Willian set to leave Chelsea after Saturday's game, potentially even to Arsenal, there are questions whether he will start here. If Willian is benched, Mason Mount and Christian Pulisic will flank Olivier Giroud, who is above Tammy Abraham in the pecking order as things stand.
- Kepa Arrizabalaga was sensationally dropped for Chelsea's final league game of the season and has no future under Lampard. Willy Caballero is expected to get the nod between the sticks once again.
But for the first 10 mins I thought Arsenal bossed the game especially midfield. Xhaka and Ceballos were magnificent. Defence rock solid after shaky start. Gunners deserved it. Mikel already has a trophy which is impressive. Wow!
1. It wasn't penalty because the foul should be taken from the place that contact started - way outside the box. 2. Kovacic second yellow wasn't even a foul. 3, Martinez handled the ball outside the box - nothing! 4. Most of the decisions around both boxes went Arsenal way and those at the centre went Chelsea way so at the end when someone looks at the statistics it will seem balanced. The refereeing was not full of mistakes, those were not mistakes it was intentional pulling for Arsenal. (btw, don't support any of two).
@CoolZ I agree that a booking was too harsh but it was defo a foul. Also on the pen, didn't you see Azpi pulling Auba with his hand slowing him down it's was a foul. Also on Martinez out of the box, you should check that again, most of his body might have been out of the box, but the ball and his hands weren't.
@CoolZ Respect.
MOTM Predictions right again, yes
Awful refereeing.
@MrNemobody @MrNemobody please stop moaning. Chelsea were laughing at arsenal everytime the referee made a horrendous call against the gunners. Jorginho should have been red carded at the Emirates before he scored. Better team won get over it.
@JamUK GO TO HELL
The campaign against Chelsea continues...
Just see the try of ceballos for head in second goal
Auba is too good for Arsenal, he deserves a much better team. Great game today! Im so happy plastic Chelsea team lost, because their fans think they will be great with new transfers.. Obviously NOT, because your half of the team is under average and you have clown on the bench. You can bring even Messi and Ronaldo and you would still get results like today.
@stefanm Auba is too good for every team he played for... sadly.. he kinda wasted his career when u think about it. Do not agree on the chelsea par though, I am not saying they will be even close to winning the premier league ( thats because of the 2 elephants in the room ) but they will surely become a team no 1 wants to play against next year...
Sorry, Lampard, not your night today...
@Kentzz001 Arteta is a much better coach than Frenkie.
@stefanm He might be after his first cup win, but he's young and doesn't have that much experience...
why play this game at wembley lol an empty cauldron is going to create such a depressing, stale atmosphere ffs - may as well play this game down the local playing field
@idiot but it will still be empty - pointless post - but apt.
football fans matter - ninety thousand empty seats
2-1 Chelsea too hit or miss
I just hope this lot don't embarrass themselves on Ken Friar's 70th year at the club. 3-1, goals from Luiz, Nketiah x2, and Giroud.
Chelsea 2:1
@temitopetko this is what you get for thrashing us 3-1, thank you Arsenal
2-2, then Chelsea to win the cup, Arsenal need to sort out personnel before playing the passing game from the back, also they have poor bench defnesively
@koziol.mutant also they bought the ref
David Luiz to make a clearance off the line, score with a bicycle kick, and get sent off while conceding a penalty. Odds 1/2 at surethingbets dot com.
This is Arsenal’s cup!
@albgunn By what right? The Emirates sponsor?
2-0 in favor of arsenal
2-2 ft with Arsenal winning on penalties
1:2 Chelsea
@xf3nixx that went well
@Olegend20 the game was not legit, obvious biased referee. disappointed.
