Team News

Leicester
Chelsea
  • Brendan Rodgers will be desperate to have Jamie Vardy available for the welcome of Chelsea after he came off in the win over Southampton with a hip injury.
  • Ricardo Pereira and Cengiz Under were fit enough for a place on the bench at the weekend but neither are expected to start here.
  • With Caglar Soyuncu back available, it will be interesting to see how Rodgers sets up his side going forward. Will he revert to a back three or rotate his centre-backs for now?
  • N'Golo Kante has served his suspension but will miss the chance to play former club Leicester through injury.
  • Reece James was back on the bench at the weekend after a short spell out injured and could return to the fold here.
  • Kurt Zouma was surprisingly dropped for Antonio Rudiger at the weekend and the latter may continue here after Chelsea kept a clean sheet against Fulham.
  • Frank Lampard admitted at the weekend Callum Hudson-Odoi deserved to start against Fulham so it remains to be seen whether he will get a rare chance here.
  • Timo Werner was surprisingly benched at Fulham despite scoring in the FA Cup the game before and it's unclear whether he will earn a recall against Leicester.

Prediction

  • Leicester have only lost one of their last eight Premier League matches after a solid 2-0 win over Southampton at the weekend. They head into the midweek round of games in third place.
  • Chelsea didn't convince but picked up a much-needed 1-0 win over Fulham at the weekend to buy Frank Lampard some more time. They are six points behind Leicester in seventh place.
  • Chelsea have surprisingly only lost two of their last 21 matches against Leicester and haven't suffered defeat at the King Power Stadium since 2015. Nevertheless, Leicester have a fantastic chance to change that.

  • Chelsea attacking is predictable, no shot on the left, lack of surprise long shoot, midfielders don't have visibility for through ball attack

  • Did any CFC punters look at the PL stats and table before making their predictions?

  • How have you given James Justin such a poor rating. He's been up and down the wing all game causing problems. Honestly your rating system is terrible.

  • @Richwillturner he’s also been causing problems to his own team

  • @bloodclaatgooner he's an attacking fullback. He has cover behind him. He was unfortunate to not get a goal as well.

  • @Richwillturner with one shot ?

  • @NigelBeat yes with a header just wide. What's your point?

  • Rarely you have a game were the outcome is so clear already before the match.

  • Hahahahahahaha

  • took Leicester(0) with smth around 2.06... easy money. Sorry Franky, but you'd better stay in Derby for a little longer before going to the pool with real big sharks. You have missed your "school" Franky, you won't get away with it now.

  • Tuchel will take over Chelsea in the next few weeks.

  • Chelsea defending away from home under Lampard is dreadful.

  • Havertz is a joke bro hes soo bad

  • Frank Lampard will get the sack in the next few weeks. One of the reasons is that the millions he has spent on Werner and Havertz and they have not produced the goods so to speak.

  • New players every match, you can't win like this.

  • Chelsea is a joke

  • Lamport really picked Mount and CHO over Ziyech and expects to win against a full-strength Leicester

  • @Olegend20 I would be shocked if Chelsea don't win 4-0

  • @SeuneMilmas ahaha

  • @SeuneMilmas joker

  • Leicester too strong.the 2 mid ndidi and teilesman very solid.chelsea have a good attacker, but they still need to learn to fight against good mid.gg mid

  • Pulisic to score

  • @alxdru u are from Croatia right? :)

  • @Nataku nope

  • @alxdru damn i was so sure, because u said Kovacic as goalscorer one time, and well, he is not famous for that :D

  • @Natakui still hope to see him getting back in top form, i mean his third season at Inter. This season is crucial for his career, who knows maybe he will reactivate tonight :)

  • 1-1

  • Chelsea desperately need a win here. I dont see Leicester stopping them now.

  • @7dana Everybody can stop Chelsea, are you joking ?

  • @neumi17 Do you have an agenda against them? Lmao

  • @jandold No but I seem to be able to look at their current form for the previous months. Only 3 wins in their last 10 PL games and those only vs really bad teams. On top of that there is absolutely no game plan in the way they perform. I don't understand why you couldn't see Leicester stopping them ...

  • Stalemate 1-1

  • Leicester +1 Asian handicap

  • Leicester 1-2 Chelsea

  • @Abdulski97 Why ?

  • Chelsea really struggled against Fulham until they had that 1 man advantage. Home team will easily outscore them. Leicester to win and over 2.5.

  • I want to discount Lampard for always playing his son, but he's been doing alright. Plus Werner in his new super sub role will ensure Chelsea has 11 guys on the field, instead of 10 and a ghost. Maybe Chelsea win

  • if Reece James sTarts for Chelsea, they might get a narrow win. I say Chelsea win with a 1 or 2 goals margin

  • @george96 If Reece James starts, we will lose for sure.

  • @splint3r in case you support Leicester then yes

  • @7dana You were saying?
