Man City
- Matt Phillips remains sidelined having tested positive for COVID-19, while Karlan Grant, Grady Diangana and Conor Townsend are all injured.
- Robert Snodgrass missed the 2-1 loss to West Ham due as both the Hammers and West Brom had a gentleman's agreement that meant the Scot missed the defeat, something that has landed the Baggies in hot water with the Premier League.
- Sergio Aguero misses out having recently tested positive for COVID-19, while Nathan Ake and Kevin De Bruyne are sidelined due to injury.
- Kyle Walker is a doubt with a hip complaint, but should be fit to start at right-back.
- Ferran Torres is set to lead the attack for City, with Bernardo Silva likely to drop into midfield to deputise for the injured De Bruyne.
Raheem 4 times dispossed, 6 tims bad control. Guardiola!! please wakeup. You're not forced to make him new Pele. So give the chance to other players.We and the pundits are fed up.
@sampo Raheem this season and the previous ones is totally another player. However this game was still one of the best this season. It might be he can start to return to his normal form soon.
I noticed that City when they miss one of their main player became stronger, so i had expected them to score more than 3 goals. It happened in other countries league many times. 2 years ago they were without KDB, but they breake records. With all my admiration to KDB (who is the team's heart and mind) , do you think guys the genius player make the game more sophisticated to his teammates- so they perform better without him- or there is another reason? I'm talking about a general case.
@sampo that is a very interesting argument, I thought about that too. We can not make any conclusions this time though, as West Brom is not the strongest side to be fair. Pep is always good motivator for his players by the way, so when their leader is out they always have his support. On top of that he has got more tham enough of top level guys to substitute KDB and adjust tactics almost in any game. I remember when he was out during the 2018/2019 season then bunch of players like D. Silva, B. Silva, Sterling, Gundogan, Fernandinho, Sane were in top form, and his absence was practically unnoticed. Lets see how it will go this time.
You just can't get away with such tactical naivety at the highest level. 77.8% possession? What was Guardiola thinking? :D
best team in europ for now
MC team did very well without De Bruyne!
Who would have thought that Gündogan would be ManCity`s leading goal scorer after 19 games played ?
west brom is a joke
Gündogan has stepped his game up. He has been really good since around late november.
Cancelo is a genius.
@nikoanzai I thought Gündogan is ...
@neumi17 both are damn good this season and already key players for City.
@neumi17 He is as well.
Both to score for 2.5x odds.
1-4
West Bromwich score the first goal.
@Yeng_Dai_Chin Nope, but both to score. :)
