Team News

Fulham
Leeds
  • Bobby Reid misses the welcome of Leeds through injury, but Tom Cairney and Marek Rodak are close to a return to fitness.
  • That said, the duo are unlikely to recover until after the international break.
  • Despite a 3-0 defeat to Manchester City last weekend, Scott Parker may use a 4-3-3 system again, with Josh Maja coming into the XI.
  • Patrick Bamford was forced off with a thigh issue against Chelsea but Marcelo Bielsa has confirmed he is fine to play here.
  • However, Liam Cooper, Pablo Hernandez and Adam Forshaw miss the trip to Fulham.
  • Rodrigo faced the indignity of coming on before being taken off on Saturday but could get a start if Bamford drops to the bench.

Prediction

  • Fulham fell two points off safety after their 3-0 loss to Manchester City after Newcastle rescued a late point against Aston Villa and Brighton earned a 2-1 win at Southampton over the weekend. That said, they have lost just two of their last eight league matches as they seek to close the gap between themselves and the Magpies.
  • Leeds fired a blank for the third game running in their 0-0 draw with Chelsea and a run of four defeats in six has seen them drop into the bottom half of the table. They have lost every league trip to London this season ahead of Friday's game at Craven Cottage.
  • The return fixture saw Leeds earn all three points in an entertaining 4-3 win over the Cottagers and while the Whites may get back on the scoresheet, Fulham could edge a narrow victory.

  • Not saying Bamford should start or anything but I'm a little surprised he's been overlooked for England.

  • @normal_fan99 He'd be another Ricky Lambert. Why bother?

  • Fulham will need a win here very desperately, to capitalise on Newcastle's injury issues meaning Steve Bruce's side will be in bad form in the near future. But could Bielsa's side not score for the 4th game in a row? Very close to call and should make for a really competitive, close battle - interesting to watch.

  • @Krimnash I would be shocked if Leeds do not win 4-0.

  • @SeuneMilmas ... leeds havent won in london for 3 years. We havent won at fulham for ages. We are in poor form, Fulham rejuvenated - where, from other than out of pure delusion, do you find 4-0?

  • @leedsunitedfc The link between historical results and present performance is tenuous.
