- Michael Duff was able to name a strong bench last time out, so his dilemma is whether to name the same side that deservedly won 2-0 at Southend or freshen things up for this midweek fixture.
- Tom Sang could come back into the squad after an ankle injury, while Finn Azaz is likely to be in contention.
- New addition Ellis Chapman is building up sharpness but, being very versatile, the former Lincoln man might make the bench.
- Sean Long has missed the start of the season so Matty Blair could continue to start at right wing-back.
- Frank Vincent will miss the trip with a sore thigh, so composed attacking midfielder John McAtee may keep his place - perhaps fortuitously, like many from Saturday's debacle.
- Myles Hippolyte is suspended after his red card against Cambridge, so Alfie Beestin could come in as an auxiliary left wing-back.
- Jai Rowe only just managed the 90 minutes for the Under-23s last time out and while he will be in contention, George Hornshaw may get the nod at right wing-back; Olufela Olomola was also involved for the Under-23s.
- Jordan Clarke's recent return to full training is welcomed and Cox may be keen to speed up the recovery process to get their captain back.
- Emmanuel Onariase proved himself not ready to start after a hernia, so Mason O'Malley could come in on the right of the three man defence.
- Harrison McGahey and Jordan Hallam continue recovery from their hamstring injuries, with McGahey resuming full training, while Kevin van Veen also continues his rehabilitation.
