Team News

Atlanta United
  • Star man Josef Martinez is back for Atalanta after missing the whole off 2020 with an ACL injury.
  • Both Mo Adams and Alec Kann are ruled out after not being medically cleared.
  • Franco Escobar remains suspended for this one.
  • Matheus Rossetto missed the opening weekend due to his green card complications. This has now been resolved and he could be back involved here.
  • Midfielder Stanislav Ivanov underwent surgery on his left knee towards the end of March and isn't expected back in training for around four months.
  • Attacker Fabian Herbers will also be out, while Kenneth Kronholm is suffering from a knee injury and could be out for a while.
  • Both Miguel Navarro and Ignacio Aliseda are both doubtful for this match. Aliseda is hopeful of being back here.

  • Atlanta picked up a solid point away to their rivals Orlando on the opening weekend. After a disappointing couple of years they'll be hoping new manager Heinze can lead them back to their previous dizzying heights.
  • Chicago let a 2-0 lead slip last weekend as they showed some defensive fragility.
  • Atlanta are strong favourites to pick up their first win of the season in this one.
