- Stephen Glass named three changes, altering Aberdeen's shape, after the Dons lost 1-0 to Dundee United at Tannadice, before it became three league losses on the spin with a 2-1 loss at Parkhead against Celtic at the weekend.
- David Bates was ill and Lewis Ferguson was suspended for the trip to Dundee. Both returned in Glasgow, Bates partnering Ross McCrorie in the Dons defence and Lewis Ferguson hauling them level from the spot on Sunday.
- Out dropped Dean Campbell who had to settle for a spot among the substitutes. Scott Brown and Dylan McGeouch were both substituted through potential injury. Jack McKenzie was omitted from the matchday squad as Jonny Hayes took his spot against his former club.
- David Martindale made just one change to the Livi team that picked up a point in Paisley thanks to a 1-1 draw against St Mirren, before their 3-1 defeat at home to Rangers on Sunday.
- Tom Parkes has kept his spot among the back three, covering for the suspended Ayo Obileye. The former Queen of the South man sat out the draw with Saints and loss to Rangers through suspension, but could return here.
- Andrew Shinnie's return in recent weeks has been welcomed with open arms. However, the Lions' only change was Alan Forrest taking his place as he and Odin Bailey supported Bruce Anderson who scored against Rangers last time out.
