- Mark McGhee made five changes, primarily enforced, after Dundee's 0-0 draw with Hibs in their midweek match before a COVID-struck Dee settled for a point at Fir Park in their 1-1 draw away to Motherwell on Saturday.
- 20-year-old Harrison Sharp started between the sticks, replacing Ian Lawlor. Charlie Adam and Paul McGowan made way for Lee Ashcroft and Shaun Byrne. Niall McGinn and Danny Mullen also dropped out of the matchday squad.
- In came Vontae Daley-Campbell at right midfield in support of lone striker Declan McDaid as a depleted Dundee took on the Well. Paul McMullan scored his first league goal for the Dark Blues at Fir Park at the weekend.
- Stephen Robinson named two changes as Saints succumbed to a 2-0 defeat to Celtic at Parkhead in their midweek match, before losing by a sole goal to Ross County up in Dingwall on Saturday afternoon.
- Conor McCarthy and Scott Tanser entered a five-man defence as Saints looked to shut out the league leaders in Glasgow. Marcus Fraser sat among the substitutes with Dean Lyness replacing Jak Alnwick in goal for the trip to the Highlands.
- Jordan Jones and Greg Kiltie provide the width, with Alex Gogic and Alan Power in the middle of the park. Alex Grieve came back into the side, as a lone striker, after Curtis Main had replaced him in the defeat to Celtic at Parkhead.
