Team News
Everton
Norwich
- Lucas Digne and Andre Gomes were both taken off as precautions in Tuesday's EFL Cup penalty shoot-out defeat to QPR, though the former has since trained.
- Rafa Benitez will already be without Seamus Coleman, Richarlison, Dominic Calvert-Lewin and Fabian Delph, but Jordan Pickford has trained.
- With so many injuries, there is not a lot Benitez can do with his squad and we may see an unchanged side from their last Premier League match.
- Ben Godfrey may have to play at left-back if Digne fails to recover in time, while Mason Holgate is an option to come into the backline.
- James Rodriguez has left the club.
- Norwich are potentially light in attack with Todd Cantwell missing through personal reasons and Milot Rashica an injury doubt.
- Norwich were really competitive for large parts against Liverpool and a 3-0 scoreline was a tad harsh on them.
- Daniel Farke deployed Norwich in a back three in midweek and may keep with that system here after playing some good football.
- The likes of Max Aarons, Teemu Pukki and Brandon Williams are all set for recalls from their Carabao Cup exit.
The more I read about this game, the more i don't have any idea what's going to happen. Totally unpredictable game imo, no bets here from me 100%
Everton win
Everton is really exposed by these injuries and I wouldn't be surprised if Norwich earn their first point in the EPL at Goodison Park or even three. It's an open encounter and less obvious than many might think
Everton - Norwich 2:1(1:0)
