At last Ole put Cavani and Ronaldo in the same team. I 've wanted to see it all season and it worked brilliantly. I couldn't see how he'd do it but this 5-2-1-2 0r 3-4-1-2 formation is the answer....Please stick with it Ole. It is the answer for this group of players. Tough luck if it means that Rashford, Martial, Sancho, Greenwood and Lingard rarely play. Cavani, Ronaldo and Fernandez are United's 3 best players and should always be first choice... except when they need a rest.
@Caseyyy1 - It even means that Pogba can come in for either Fred or McTominay and the defense wont be negatively effected either. Cavani, Ronaldo, Fernandez and Pogba together, while maintaining a strong defense could be legendary.
a bit of history: "For the 1989–90 season, Ferguson further boosted his squad by paying large sums of money for midfielders Neil Webb, Mike Phelan, and Paul Ince, as well as defender Gary Pallister and winger Danny Wallace. The season began well with a 4–1 win over defending champions Arsenal on the opening day, but United's league form quickly turned sour. In September, United suffered a humiliating 5–1 away defeat against fierce rivals Manchester City. Following this and an early season run of six defeats and two draws in eight games, a banner declaring, "Three years of excuses and it's still crap ... ta-ra Fergie." was displayed at Old Trafford, and many journalists and supporters called for Ferguson to be sacked"
@koziol.mutant - Brilliant. I am now convinced that Ole is gonna win 30 trophies over the next 26 years. I thought that would happen but now I know it. It's a great point though, Ferguson was given a good few years before his amazing United successes.
@koziol.mutant OGS played back 3 before Tuchel arrived as well. Tuchel said Chelsea players are more comfortable with it, maybe its the same for some of the Utd defense and midfield. Definitely Lindelöf.
@Youzarix I was gonna write this, every time his job is in danger Man United play well, he's calling other managers and they're making the game plans for him lol
first good Lineup and gameplan from Ole this season, I've been waiting for him to start both Cavani and Ronaldo, though this Tottenham isn't the best benchmark but it's a start although a very late one, Ole still needs to improve a lot or leave.
Stats right after Liverpool scored the 5th: Shots 9-13, possession 48.6-51.4, pass success 82-84, dribbles 11-0, aerial won 13-8. When you look at that, it sounds like a game which is probably 1-1 or 1-2, but it was 0-5 instead because no co-op at the back and horrible finishing at the front. With any manager on the world, this team won't get better results if not wake up any soon. Ole is not the best but he managed to get good results when needed, expecting players to turn up and win this game. 1-3
It'll be interesting to see how Ndombele and or Lo Celso perform against a United midfield who aren't fond of pressing. Also Pogba tends to play well away at Tottenham but is suspended. Nevertheless, Ole has a knack of getting results when he needs them. As others suggest it'll probably be low scoring (but hopefully not overly cautious from Spurs). Tottenham to score from a long shot. United to score from a set piece (probably late on the second half). Tottenham 1-1 Manchester United
United have responded after a loss time and time again this season but I do question how long they can continue on like this. With the master of simulation Pogba on the bench for this one, United may lack that extra edge. I still favor them to bounce back with a positive result, Spurs look like a middle of the table club not scoring enough in league play. Take out the 3 points against City, they have 12 from beating Burnley, Newcastle, Villa and Watford all lower end of the table teams.
@Biggie_Cheese I get Ole, but Spurs being mad at Nuno is quite annoying. They didn't back him, they knew his style and demanding more than top 6 with that team is quite unreasonable. Too cheap to invest in the squad and too inept to get the manager they wanted, but sure, blame it all on Nuno.
@McHennie CR is a legendary underperformer against BIG 6 in 79 matches only 28 goals, CR not to score is the good bet in these matches, if the odds is higher than even 1,4-1,5, but this Spurs is hardly a TOP6 caliber team right now.
Remember last week when 'splinter' said that Whoscored prediction of a 3-1 Liverpool victory over Man United was biased against United? Turns out it was biased in their favour!! Wonder what nonsense he'll come out with today?

@Caseyyy1 not with Lindelof starting every week at the expense of Rashford, Greenwood and Sancho

after copying Fartdiola, now all coaches will copy Tuchel

there's always so much drama in United match threads on this site, I don't get how people have so much energy to be so salty all the time.
Looserpool
nklm,
Nuno should have sticked to wolves
#OleIn
Funny that when rumours start about signing Konte, Ole switched to 3-5-2 "You want Konte? i gonna be Konte"
@Youzarix Ferguson probably did that for him again.
@Youzarix I was gonna write this, every time his job is in danger Man United play well, he's calling other managers and they're making the game plans for him lol
CR scored 1 goal and 1 assist, player of the season award.
@Crece282 Balloon Door award too!
Good volley and assist . Some here call it tapin , they wouldn't even hit that ball if they were playing .

Shambolic from Tottenham today. Liverpool would've beaten us 8-0.
@MEHJones give it time…
Ronaldo is a GOAT
@Marcraft greatest only at tapins
@Faceman cry Fanboy
@marino95 He upvoted his comment with his 5 other accounts LMAO
what a legend.
Kane has been poor all season ever since Levy refused to sell him to man city.

Dude will never play VDB lol no matter what
Trash vs Garbage, Trash to win 2-1
with this lineup 0-1 or 0-2
Man United to win only if Greenwood does not start, otherwise it’s Espirito’s Spurs all the way.

I want Ole out, but I don’t want Spurs to beat us. 1-1

I am predicting a red card in this match.

@alx30 totally agree, but he came in as Levy' 3rd/4th choice, it's been an uphill battle from the start for Nuno
Ole will stay afloat somehow 3-1
Lingaard and Beek and Cavani, Bailly deserve starts. Fernandez, Maguire, Rashford should be benched. Still 0-1 or 0-2. Utd will play more defensively.
2-1 TOT
@zardonic in your dreams
I have a feeling Ronaldo will score in this game. Medium Risk: Ronaldo to score (Anytime goalscorer)

@Pastore10 I hope you’ve binned your stats after yesterday’s results. I’m a Chelsea fan and a tipster
1-2 #SaveOle
Please Kane get a hattrick and help us sack Ole
Ole is STILL at the wheel!!! Tell me United fans, how does it feel?
@Nico1 same as in the first years of Sir Ferguson
@koziol.mutant Didn't have the quality players.
@Tuiop 2nd season he bought Steve Bruce, Viv Anderson, Brian McClair and Jim Leighton. Read smth before comment , child
@Tuiop Norman Whiteside, Paul McGrath and Bryan Robson were not good? go back to school :)
low scoring game. Not sure what the result will be
Kane 1-0, he will show to Mr Penaldo who is the real boss ! ;)
@vininator lol
Remember last week when 'splinter' said that Whoscored prediction of a 3-1 Liverpool victory over Man United was biased against United? Turns out it was biased in their favour!! Wonder what nonsense he'll come out with today?
@Nico1 Biased against Utd, lol we’re terrible. Giving us one goal was pretty generous from WhoScored
@Nico1 If you're mentioning me without me even commenting on a given match, it seems I have got under your skin somehow. Good to know.
@splint3r You're right, stupidity does annoy me.
@Nico1 Go to hell and die
@Nico1 lol he's got to be the dumbest guy on this site
