- Granit Xhaka is a long-term absentee but Kieran Tierney has returned to full training and will return here. Nuno Tavares does deserve to keep his spot for this one, however.
- Martin Odegaard and Nicolas Pepe are pushing for starts but Arsenal should otherwise be unchanged from last weekend's 2-0 win over Leicester.
- Emmanuel Dennis is back available after serving a one-match ban in the Premier League last weekend. He will reclaim his starting berth back from Cucho Hernandez.
- Francisco Sierralta has a full week of training under his belt after recovering from injury and will also return here.
- Meanwhile, new signing Nicolas Nkoulou was on the bench against Southampton and could make a debut here. Ex-Tottenham left-back Danny Rose is also back fit.
- Joao Pedro made his first start of the season last time out but was subbed off at half-time and may drop to the bench here as a result.
- Ken Sema has withdrawn from the Sweden squad for the upcoming break through injury so it would be a real surprise if he featured here. Summer signing Kwadwo Baah has broken his foot and set spell out.
Arsenal with 0 GD is now 3 points behind City
Lacazette's goal vs Palace is looking like a turning point in Arsenal's season, because Arteta tried a 4-4-2 to fit Lacazette into the starting lineup, and the change has worked wonders for them so far
