Team News

Watford

Chelsea
- Scans have confirmed Ben Foster won't return until 2022 due to a groin strain so Daniel Bachmann now gets an extended run in the first team.
- A hamstring injury will keep Nicolas Nkoulou out until the new year and there are concerns Ismaila Sarr will be out long-term with knee ligament damage.
- Emmanuel Dennis has been a revelation for Watford this season but he is a big doubt to face Chelsea after coming off injured in defeat to Leicester at the weekend.
- Adam Masina was also forced off against Leicester but should be okay to start against Chelsea. Former Tottenham defender Danny Rose is on standby.
- Christian Kabasele was back on the bench at the weekend and may replace William Troost-Ekong at the back after his error on Sunday.
- Juraj Kucka also needs to be assessed by the home side after missing out completely last weekend.
- Thomas Tuchel will make changes to the side that started Sunday's disappointing 1-1 draw with Manchester United, particularly as Chelsea face West Ham on Saturday lunch-time.
- N'Golo Kante, Mateo Kovacic and Ben Chilwell are all unavailable for the Premier League leaders.
- Timo Werner, Reece James and Jorginho are all doubts despite managing to train on Tuesday.
- Thiago Silva has started all three games since the international break and it would be a surprise if he started here.
- Kai Havertz, Saul Niguez, Mason Mount, Romelu Lukaku, Cesar Azpilicueta, Christian Pulisic and Ross Barkley will all push for starts here, though Tuchel has admitted that Andreas Christensen's current contract standoff with the club is impacting his game time at Stamford Bridge.
Preview this week have been on fire. Well done @WhoScored. Picking up W's left and right y'all are!
Tuchel is supposed to be a genius manager, right? But why tf he keeps starting loftus cheek? can’t tackle, lazy, doesn’t want to run to his teammate who’s holding the ball so they can pass it to him, often ruins our counter attack by passing the ball to the wrong teammate or waiting too long before passes, can’t provide through passes accurately to the center front, likes to give ball away, etc.
@Frei78 it is exactly because of him on the mid, that we can’t help but to play wide and long passes.
Two garbages (saul & loftus cheek) starting on the midfield, geez, Tuchel.
The match has been abandoned after 12 minutes due to a medical emergency in the stands
Chelsea lose or draw
All of tonights EPL games are live on Amazon Prime.
I would be shocked if Watford score here, Chelsea haven't concede in 4 away games
@Chilly_B in fairness I did not expect a Saul Loftus Cheek double pivot
@Chilly_B Not what you said though, was it?
Foster, Sarr, Nkoulou are each huge losses for Watford, while Dennis is doubtful too. Chelsea clean sheet and win is very probable. 0-2
Over2.5 goals / or away win with over1.5/2.5 goals. Score prediction 1:4. Watford defence too leaky and Tuchel will make sure not to drop points twice in a row, as the title race is in full progress right now.
If Chelsea win they will clinch the title. Werner last minute winner is inevitable
