Team News

  • Thomas Tuchel will hope to have Jorginho back from a back problem with Ruben Loftus-Cheek now likely to miss out after pulling up in the warm up against Zenit.
  • With N'Golo Kante and Mateo Kovacic both sidelined, Ross Barkley and Saul Niguez will be hoping for a rare start, with Reece James moved into midfield ahead of the latter in midweek, who instead filled in at left wing-back.
  • Romelu Lukaku started and scored in the week for the first time since recovering from injury and should lead the line, while Timo Werner will also hope to keep his place after a brace.
  • Former Chelsea academy graduate Patrick Bamford returned from a long absence to score off the bench last week but Marcelo Bielsa will be mindful not to rush his key striker back into starting action too soon, so Tyler Roberts could keep his place.
  • Kalvin Phillips was forced off with a hamstring injury against Brentford and will miss out, while Liam Cooper went off with a similar problem and is a major doubt.
  • The fit again Luke Ayling could slot in at centre-back but with so few options available Bielsa may well be forced into switching to a back four for the trip to Stamford Bridge.

  • Injuries are beginning to mount against Chelsea, particularly in midfield, while having a fit squad to choose from has been a luxury not afforded to Marcelo Bielsa all season.
  • The Blues have shipped six goals in two games without the usual protection to their defence so Tuchel will be focusing on getting that side of the game prepared up against a relentless Leeds press.
  • The visitors' defensive issues, however, could prove decisive to any hopes of an upset here and with Lukaku back fit and firing it's difficult to call anything bar a home win here despite a tough week for Chelsea.

  • Tuchel most honest coach commenting after the matches:) about penalties today top class. 2 soft and one he did not see (in fact was obvious one)

  • Porginho 2: Return of the Merchant

  • @MAN0 well nobody tries to claim that Jorginho is good because of his stats

  • Rudiger once again saved Chelsea.

  • Why is Rüdiger only 6,8? Does winning penalties not qualify as a good action?

  • Not the win we deserved, but the win we needed

  • Leeds outplayed Chelsea but LMAO Rudiger is a villain, loves this guy

  • Chelsea poor yet again.

  • @Rensen Kante's effect is huge

  • @TetouanMorocco Chilwell's too. He was being our best player in many Premier League matches.

  • Amazing 2nd goal by Leeds, team work at its finest

  • People who say Loftus Cheek is any good is really living in a cuckoo land.

  • @Frei78 you are obsessed with Loftus Cheek

  • @Frei78 - He is tall, big and strong, runs a lot, got a bit of stamina too. His only drawbacks are his footballing brain and his subpar technique. He looks like a great player in the English way.

  • Leeds Asian handicap +1.75

  • 2-0

  • X2

  • Leeds to outplay Chelsea.. Backing bamford here

  • @Daraba Jog on, Chelsea to dominate especially on the flanks, should end up a comfortable win to 0 & whats Bamford gonna do exactly? He's not even warming the bench.

  • BTTS Over 2.5

  • Line up: Mendy, Rudiger, Thiago, Christensen; Alonso, Loftus-Cheek, James, Azpilicueta; Mount; Werner, Lukaku
