Team News

Burnley
Leicester
  • Charlie Taylor made his comeback from injury after nearly two months out in Burnley's 1-1 draw with Crystal Palace on Saturday and he could start here.
  • Ashley Westwood may also return to the starting XI on Tuesday after only making the bench at Selhurst Park after recovering from COVID.
  • Maxwel Cornet was an unused substitute against Palace and will have to be assessed here owing to concerns over his fitness.
  • Leicester weren't involved in Premier League action over the weekend so should be well rested from their Europa Conference League outing last Thursday.
  • Brendan Rodgers has confirmed Jamie Vardy will make his return to the matchday squad here for the first time in 2022.
  • James Justin and Wesley Fofana are closing in on returns from injury as well but aren't in contention on Tuesday.
  • Ricardo Pereira has been cleared to return here and Marc Albrighton is over a knock sustained in the Europa Conference League last week.

Prediction

  • Burnley continue to chip away at those above them in the table after a 1-1 draw at Crystal Palace on Saturday. They are now only one point adrift of safety after a run of just one defeat from their last seven.
  • Leicester's game with Chelsea at the weekend was postponed due to the latter's involvement in the Carabao Cup final. Leicester will hope to bounce back from defeat to Wolves in their last league fixture.
  • Leicester have failed to win any of their last five in the Premier League and the reverse fixture between the two teams ended 2-2 back in September. The Foxes have also failed to win four of their last five at Turf Moor.
