Really poor performance from Wijnaldum. Normally one of the most assured in possession with pass success 90+%. Before the sending off his pass success was just 56% and didn't create a single chance all game. He doesn't even jump for the header he loses for the first goal.
Decision not to bring Botman looks a real aberration now.
The Czech team was defeated a few weeks ago by Itay 4-0.
However, today they beat the Netherlands, so actually, these teams are not so weak as few pitiable people want to let us believe..
@whoanalyzed yes, I understood what you mean. People here are calling every team trash or weak. If someone thinks that for example Germany is trash team (and there are such people here), then who isn't?
@splint3r nope. There were teams who were eliminated or who lost, but that doesn't make them weak or trash. Unless you believe there are like 10 non-weak teams in the world.
@wilde The only really great national teams in the world right now are Brazil, France, Argentina and maybe Spain when they've clicked into gear. I would put only these four in the top echelon, or the elite. Portugal used to be in that tier, but after tonight - no longer. The second tier would be teams like Belgium, Sweden, Italy, Denmark, England, Netherlands, Uruguay, Chile, Colombia and now Portugal. Tier 3 would be the likes of Czech, Austria, Switzerland, Croatia, Slovakia. Kudos to Czech for being the only team from this tier to reach the Quarters. Honestly, I would also put Germany in tier 3 right now. They are extremely bad. As for the weak teams in this tournament, I count several - Turkey, Wales, Ukraine, Macedonia, Poland, Hungary. Some of these are in Tier 4, some even in Tier 5 on the international stage.
@splint3r
Hey, splint..what about the "easy" teams against which Italy played? You meant the one who is winning against the upper tier 0-1? Italy if am not wrong was 3-0. Now, France will win 100% this match due to the enormous difference. Maybe 2-1, maybe 3-1, etc. I simply write you now this comment to tell you this. Expressing judgment using a strong bias does not help ponder truly and accurately. Likewise, ranking teams based on ..which data'? is another example of bias-driven conclusions. That's all I wanted to get at.
@splint3r You're of course entitled to your opinion. But it's wrong. Firstly, judging teams ONLY by their results is silly, Secondly, even their results say otherwise. Poland is in League A in UEFA Nations League. Turkey, Wales and Ukraine - in League B. TurkeyOnly Macedonia is in D and is probably the only below average team on the Euros. Poland and Ukraine are good teamsmuch better than Slovakia, just like Netherlands normally would have beaten Czechs. Hungary aren't bad too. If teams from League A and B are weak, if Poland is weak, if Germany are extremely bad, what would you call teams like Ireland, Norway, Lithuania, Bulgaria, San Marino? Poland is good, Germany are great (but not TOP), Turkey beat Netherlands 4-2. These aren't weak teams. Weak teams are those which didn't qualify.
Ţările de Jos - Cehia 2-0!
I don't see how could Cehia manage to score at least a goal! This is a match what Ţările de Jos will gonna control from beginning till end.
Why is there different stats on uefa site, should the whoscored stats be following uefa as they rule completion

Congratulations to the Czechs, nobody expected them to go beyond the Netherlands. That's the unpredictable nature of the game of football.
Disgraceful performance by the Netherlands. But that's what you get with De Boer as coach and Wijnaldum as captain.

@whoanalyzed i honestly believe there were no "weak" teams in the Euros
@wilde I was ironic...I was quoting a couple of idxxxs who write in this website. I agree with you.
@whoanalyzed yes, I understood what you mean. People here are calling every team trash or weak. If someone thinks that for example Germany is trash team (and there are such people here), then who isn't?

@whoanalyzed Irrelevant. Italy had home advantage. Not the same.
@splint3r What data do you use to build this ranking? It looks quite subjective and, therefore, aleatory. Data man, I want data.
