"England recorded a sequence of 54 consecutive passes in extra-time against Denmark; the most passes in a sequence of play by any team during the whole of EURO 2020", @OptaJoe
@stuckonautomatic Kane scored 14 minutes into ET and this stat didn't come with a time frame; they may not have been intentionally killing the clock when they created this sequence of play (but it is likely). This stat suggests that they controlled the game, played down the clock very well and that is something not done with ease, no?
Europe Semi final. Extra time 1:1 score. Light contact in the box. Referee doesnt even bother with VAR check. That’s how you favour one team and kill of the other in the biggest football stage in continent. Everyone says it shouldn’t be a penalty. This ref ruined the joy of the game. England deserves to win however but not this way. I have a feel a big surprise is waiting on Sunday and the Italians are masters at it. This will come back!
England deserved to win. The Danish free kick wasn't a foul. England had a strong penalty shout in normal time not given, this balanced out the fact the penalty that was awarded wasn't a foul. Overall Denmark got the run of the decisions. I thought the Referee generally had a bad game. The first half he could have issued multiple cards and issued none. I genuinely thought at half time he forgot to bring his cards to the occasion. Denmark had a game plan to just outrun England. They parked the bus and played on the break. England were the better footballing side throughout. I thought it was a mistake to remove Delaney unless he was injured, he's their best player and ought to be the Danish captain. Vestegaard panicked more and more as the game progressed as he saw England get more and more on top in the contest. I thought Mount in particular had a poor game and as soon as he was removed for Foden England were all over Denmark. Walker also had a great game which isn't reflected above.
England by far the better team. If the penalty was soft remember that the Danish free kick was even more soft. I have to love the anti-English resentment, bitterness and envy that is stirred by something as relatively frivolous as this. Well done England, and suck it up losers.
@tinyclaw Envy England ? That's the most ridiculous thing I have read tonight. Why would anyone do that, for what?
Nobody argues that a victory for England wasn't deserved only about the circumstances and general behavior.
@neumi17 I have seen you post here for a long time and always in denial about reality. Hopefully one day you see the light - right now I feel a bit sorry for you.
@neumi17 , may be the German defeat to England still hurts ? Every team get some soft penalties , ask your parents how west Germany won the 1990 World Cup . England conceded a soft free kick from which Denmark scored
@wilde What like the fact Denmark's free kick from which they scored on wasn't a foul? And the fact in normal time England had a near stonewaller not given? You come across as a cry baby here. England England England England!
@John1990 i don't know how does stating a simple fact make one a crybaby. The fact is the referee have England a free goal and his other mistakes in this match doesn't justify it, quite the opposite.
It's ashame for Denmark. They were stolen. There shouldn't have been a penalty for England. I honestly think the ref was instructed to give England the penalty. A sad day for football
@Caseyyy1 I just read your previous 23 comments. They all start with " ha,ha,ha ... " According to your sentence structure you are on the same intellectual level as the crowd today.
6.3 very harsh on Saka who created 2 huge chances. I think England's best performance of the tournament (Ukraine gifted all 4 in the QF) against a very organised Danish side. Soft penalty, but there was a clear push by Maehle that went unpunished in an earlier attack, so definitely a fair result.
England go to final after an own goal(i'm not sure Sterling whouldve score) and a rebound goal from a missed penalty,the most questionable penalty of this tournament. Let's be fair... the real final was yesterday.
@Caseyyy1 Sorry dude, but England will get smoked by Italy. Only the 2nd(!) final ever for England, lol! Germany has 14 finals, Italy has 10. France 6, Spain 5. England is a complete joke in football history. This will probably the first time in my life I will be for Italy. But after seeing Sterling and Kane shamelessly diving for 120min, Italy really is the lesser evil. Forza Italia
@MEHJones The crowd was a disgrace however. Booing during the national anthem of the opponent is utterly classless. I hope the crowed gets punished in the final.
@neumi17 I'm not going to disagree. However Denmark booed the Welsh national anthem when they had the majority crowd so it's difficult for me to be that sympathetic.
@MrNemobody The first England goal it was clear Saka was looking to cross. A keeper like Yashin would have tried to block or intercept the cross, Schmeichel made himself anonymous in that play action. The penalty Schmeichel fumbled straight back to Kane. That's not MOTM material. The actual MOTM in this game was Walker who had a practically flawless game at right back.
@koziol.mutant Yes - Italy don't dive and cheat ever! And for the sake of football? Lol, it's an English game. None of you would be here if it weren't for them.
@Allejo Italian players dive, but they didn't get to the final because of that, unlike England. And nobody cares who invented the game 2873648273694734928 years ago, especially now, when there are so many teams better than England. If it's an English game, let them play it alone in their backyard and the rest of the world will make their own championships.
@wladi83 If that's a penalty, then there should be 10 on average per game. Sterling was already on the way down when the tiny contact came. For him, it was all about stealing a penalty. Hopefully England loses the final on a blatant Immobile dive.
@tar88s@tar88s
Forget about the philosophical (useless) usage of the verb, "to deserve". The logic of football is NOT: to win on points.
In which case, the team who creates a lot more opportunities, shots on target, passes, etc.., wins. The logic of football is the team that scores at least 1 more goal than the opponent wins. England scored 1 more goal than Denmark, therefore they won, period.
Playing "better" is only useful for increasing the odds of scoring at least 1 more goal than the opponent.
@tar88s
My comment is perfectly relevant to your comment because you state that, "England deserved.."
The word, "deserve" is abused in football. Go back to school to learn about reading comprehension.
@whoanalyzed Ok, once again. What does your long comment has to do with the so called "penalty" for England? You picked up one word and started to write sidenote philosophical stories, trying to look smarter than you are or smth. I am not going to debate your view as it has nothing to do with the main point. Period.
Atrocious refereeing, the referee has just decided to give England a gift. It's appalling, especially in the extra time of the big tournament's semifinal.
@Caseyyy1 I'd say the same thing if it was Denmark getting to the final only because of terrible refereeing. It's sad that you are happy with winning like this.
@MEHJones "Scoring from penalty" means exactly that...converting penalties into goals. He missed thus he didn't "score from a penalty", he scored from lucky rebound after missing one.
Yesterday the refs didn't award an obvious penalty when Chiellini played handball, today the ref gives away a penalty that isn't a penalty even after a VAR check. This has become a joke.
@Socio4Life he did not played with hand, ball hit it accidentally and was no effect on the game, but today penalty for diving obviously. Guardiola teacher of that shiet should be banned from sport
@Socio4Life If the arm is used to support the player's body weight when on the ground, that is a considered a 'natural position' and should not be penalised.
@Socio4Life what rules? The hand/arm is clearly away from the body and outside the "body line".
The player clearly leans into the path of the ball.
The ball travels some distance.
The ball touches a hand/arm that is clearly raised above the shoulder.
The player falls and the hand/arm is extended laterally or vertically away from the body.
A deflection clearly makes no difference to the ball touching a hand/arm that is clearly extended away from the body and/or above the shoulder.
Immediately after touching the ball with the arm, even accidentally, the player scores a goal or creates a goal-scoring opportunity.
he has not done anything like that, he already was down when ball touched him gently
@wilde global warming is natural thing, bad weather too, but being taught and teaching how to dive is useless and deserves reaction. YT"Jordi Alba winning an Oscar in diving! FC Barcelona vs. Real Madrid 26/02/2013 (HD)" or "FC Barcelona prepares for El Clásico - Diving Training"
Harry Kane still has a decent chance of winning the golden boot at Euro 2020. With three goals he is two goals behind Schick and Ronaldo (on 5) but neither of these players are still involved. There are three players with 4 goals (Lukaku, Benzema, Forsberg) but again none are still involved. Of course Kasper Dolberg (Denmark) also has three goals and Italy has several players on 2.
Lets be honest this is a whole completely different England Team. Young fresh legs ( mount, foden, Sancho) they actually have 2 solid defensive mids who can move ( as opposed to the standard lampard, henderson types) And sterling and saka provide that quickness this isn't your normal boring england team watch again. Denmark fairy tale ends today !
I wonder you guys have actually turns here as written page ... writing all sort of unnecessary comment leads to nothing ....massage we just need quality standard scores predicted men....all this rubbish English doesn't pay......
England player ransom bubble? Kane chance to champion?
game to verify.
Eanland win = Quench Kane's Thirst
Denmark win = mental victory OR England player ransom bubble.
2-1 OR 0-0
Considering how increadibly xenophobic, racist, and jingoistic England has been *just* in the past 15 years, I will root for any European team that at least calls themselves European. Anything that should be going home, are tariffs and Scottish and Northern Ireland independence.
Denmark has been the most spirited and determined team so far, even more so than Austria and Switzerland, plus they've been scoring from improbable, brilliant long range shots. England, on the other hand, has had mostly perfunctory tap-ins. For this reason I fancy Denmark, not to mention the fact that the stolid, stand-offish approach from Scandinavian teams mostly nullifies the English game. However, in their last match (vs Czech Republic), Denmark scored two easy goals then seemed to give up in the second half even when the Czechs came close to equalising. I think England will win if the Danes score first, otherwise it'll be a Danish victory. I think England have done the usual damning habit of reaching a state of euphoria before winning anything.
@tinyclaw Very good point about long range shots.I think Pickford conceded the most goals from outside the box in PL since 2017.He made a small error in the last game and will be under a lot of pressure tonight.
Don't know why but I reckon it's going to extra time and pens. Either nil nil or one all. Have this feeling we are going to underestimate this Danish side.
@LFCTILLIDIE in this round kno team is underestimating each other, if any team lose it will be because they where the second best in the game. And since 2002 Denmark has been the better team against England, they will not want to forget this before the match, so they need to step up when playing against Denmark
"England recorded a sequence of 54 consecutive passes in extra-time against Denmark; the most passes in a sequence of play by any team during the whole of EURO 2020", @OptaJoe
@idiot and Denmark scored the only goal from free kick in the "whole" tournament , bigger deal :)
@idiot lol, pretty useless stat. They were just playing down the clock.
@stuckonautomatic It's called boss mode. Get used to it. There's more from England in the final against your precious Italia 90.
@John1990 Lol, I never rooted for Italy and probably never will after the final.
@idiot we watched the game yes they were playing down the clock
@Johnty it's just game management tho surely it makes sense to kill the game in semi final when winning
@Johnty not saying they didnt tbf
Europe Semi final. Extra time 1:1 score. Light contact in the box. Referee doesnt even bother with VAR check. @albgunn What about the Danish free kick they scored from?
Fouls England 10 Denmark 21
England by far the better team. If the penalty was soft remember that the Danish free kick was even more soft. I have to love the anti-English resentment, bitterness and envy that is stirred by something as relatively frivolous as this. Well done England, and suck it up losers.
@tinyclaw maybe you are right but a penalty should be a clear and obvious mistake, the same dont apply to free kicks
@tinyclaw ENGLAND ENGLAND ENGLAND ENGLAND NA NA!
@tinyclaw imagine believing it
@wilde I believe you imagine it
@tinyclaw Envy England ? That's the most ridiculous thing I have read tonight. Why would anyone do that, for what? Nobody argues that a victory for England wasn't deserved only about the circumstances and general behavior.
@neumi17 I have seen you post here for a long time and always in denial about reality. Hopefully one day you see the light - right now I feel a bit sorry for you.
@neumi17 Somebody needs a hug... but I can't with that hole you are standing in...
@tinyclaw and then you keep wondering why nobody likes England
@wilde Trust me, I KNOW why few other nations like the English, I don't have to ponder it.
Football is diving home
@neumi17 :)
@neumi17 , may be the German defeat to England still hurts ? Every team get some soft penalties , ask your parents how west Germany won the 1990 World Cup . England conceded a soft free kick from which Denmark scored
@footballover Winning.
@footballover that was thirty years ago, now we have var to prevent such things.
@neumi17 Yeah, the Danes never deserved that free kick
Don't know how many of you noticed but Sterling dived even when the Kjaer scored the own goal :) he dived into the empty net
@alxdru I think he was celebrating the goal, but did look like appealing
1-1 prediction had the lowest rate
@marino95 Huh?
It's ashame for Denmark. They were stolen. There shouldn't have been a penalty for England. I honestly think the ref was instructed to give England the penalty. A sad day for football
@Sacro Denmark got a free kick for nothing. England had a strong penalty shout in normal time. The sour grapes are strong with this one.
@Sacro The Danish free kick (that they scored from) was even more soft, so no complaints eh?
@tinyclaw Nobody else saw it that way, why is that?
@neumi17 Denial
@Sacro The ref probably wants to leave the country alive
@Sacro Hahahaha, bye bye
There were two balls on the pitch during Sterling's run and dive. The ref should have stopped play according to the rules too.
@LeChiffre Stick to sports like Tiddlywinks that you are better at.
@LeChiffre you've clearly got used to the kind refereeing Denmark recieved in previous matches, e.g. against Wales
@LeChiffre hahahaha bye bye
@Caseyyy1 I just read your previous 23 comments. They all start with " ha,ha,ha ... " According to your sentence structure you are on the same intellectual level as the crowd today.
@neumi17 Stick a comma in there somewhere if you're going to talk about intellect, daft cunt.
@Jake9319 You and Casey should take a room together, would be a good match.
@Caseyyy1 Where are you heading?
@Caseyyy1 I hope Italy wins on Sunday by cheating :)
@LeChiffre I'm hoping for a classic Immobile dive in the 80th minute for the deciding 1-0 penalty.
@LeChiffre Italy always win by cheating, so that will be nothing new.
@LeChiffre I thought the same, lets set up a petition to get the game replayed
6.3 very harsh on Saka who created 2 huge chances. I think England's best performance of the tournament (Ukraine gifted all 4 in the QF) against a very organised Danish side. Soft penalty, but there was a clear push by Maehle that went unpunished in an earlier attack, so definitely a fair result.
@8en The ratings mean nothing here. Just look at the detailed advanced stats and give your own ratings based on what you see on TV (/in person).
England go to final after an own goal(i'm not sure Sterling whouldve score) and a rebound goal from a missed penalty,the most questionable penalty of this tournament. Let's be fair... the real final was yesterday.
@alxdru It wasn't. The real one should have been Spain - England.
@alxdru hahahaha, stop crying you big girl
@Caseyyy1 Sorry dude, but England will get smoked by Italy. Only the 2nd(!) final ever for England, lol! Germany has 14 finals, Italy has 10. France 6, Spain 5. @stuckonautomatic Most sour person here and that's saying something. England will dominate Italy.
@John1990 England can't dominate shit.
It wasn't so easy for Denmark when they didn't have the majority of the crowd behind them.
@MEHJones The crowd was a disgrace however. Booing during the national anthem of the opponent is utterly classless. I hope the crowed gets punished in the final.
@neumi17 the crowd didn’t boo - but a tiny % of them did. Don’t get carried away.
@eastend1 It was quite obvious to hear on tv all over Europe.
@neumi17 I'm not going to disagree. However Denmark booed the Welsh national anthem when they had the majority crowd so it's difficult for me to be that sympathetic.
@neumi17 and those stupid ole's at the end when England finnaly got more than five passes that didn't got back to defenders
@alxdru yes that was a bit disrespectful but many crowds seem to do it not just England
@alxdru hahaha, such bad losers
Schmeichel MotM. Well deserved!
@MrNemobody Not according to UEFA. They gave it to Harry Tap-in. Disgraceful.
@splint3r It's really a joke. Sommer had an amazing game against Spain and they gave it to Simón...
Ugly win, don"t like it
@neumi17 I do,hahahaha
Embarrassing. Shameful UEFA. Did everything they could to bring England to the final. Shameful format and a terrible tournament.
@LeChiffre Yeah, a Franco-German EU loving institution took England to the final. GET REAL.
@LeChiffre hahaha, England win well deserved, you are a poor loser
@LeChiffre England certainly did benefit from the minimal travelling and frequent home advantage (as did all four semi finalists to some extent)
Well done England. Well done Kane.
Italy should win in the final for the sake of football, also this shiet with flying to Azerbeijan and to London for Denmark should have never happened
@koziol.mutant Regardless of result England will dominate Italy. You will be very bitter about it.
@koziol.mutant - You poor loser
@koziol.mutant Yes - Italy don't dive and cheat ever! And for the sake of football? Lol, it's an English game. None of you would be here if it weren't for them.

England deserved the goal, but that is never ever the penalty.
@tar88s there was a penalty, he was lightly pushed and lightly kicked, on his speed it's enough
@wladi83 If that's a penalty, then there should be 10 on average per game. Sterling was already on the way down when the tiny contact came. For him, it was all about stealing a penalty. Hopefully England loses the final on a blatant Immobile dive.

@tar88s This guy is a tool. Don't bother making sense of his utter drivel.
@whoanalyzed Awesome comment mate, We won, yeaaaaaas
@Caseyyy1 yes, thanks to the ref
Atrocious refereeing, the referee has just decided to give England a gift. It's appalling, especially in the extra time of the big tournament's semifinal.
@wilde The Danish free kick (that they scored from) was even more soft, so no complaints eh?
@tinyclaw none, because you're wrong
@wilde Poor loser
@Caseyyy1 I'd say the same thing if it was Denmark getting to the final only because of terrible refereeing. It's sad that you are happy with winning like this.
DON'T ROB DENMARK LIKE THAT!
Kane has now scored from 12 of his last 12 penalties... even if he did need a rebound for that last one.
@MEHJones It's still counted as a miss, though.
@MEHJones It's still counted as a missed penalty.
@stuckonautomatic That is exactly why I wrote "scored from" :)
@MEHJones "Scoring from penalty" means exactly that...converting penalties into goals. He missed thus he didn't "score from a penalty", he scored from lucky rebound after missing one.
What a JOKE- ABSOLUTE JOKE - VAR IS A JOKE - THEY WONDER WHY PLAYERS KEEP DIVING
@LeChiffre Hahahaha, poor loser, Engerland Engerland, Engerlad
Yesterday the refs didn't award an obvious penalty when Chiellini played handball, today the ref gives away a penalty that isn't a penalty even after a VAR check. This has become a joke.
@Socio4Life he did not played with hand, ball hit it accidentally and was no effect on the game, but today penalty for diving obviously. Guardiola teacher of that shiet should be banned from sport
@koziol.mutant go read the rules, it DOES NOT MATTER if it is intentional or not. now go away
@Socio4Life If the arm is used to support the player's body weight when on the ground, that is a considered a 'natural position' and should not be penalised.

penalty for diving, useless VAR. Guardiola should be banned from sport for learning that
@koziol.mutant yeah, blame Guardiola for global warming and for bad weather too since apparently everything is his fault
@koziol.mutant Yes, no way in hell that was a penalty. Probably not a clear dive but certainly no pen. VAR is obviously useless.
it's not PL Maguire
England win the championship
classic Overmars, happy he's again in Arsenal :)
Both to score.
what a freekick!!!
Denmark to score 2+
Heart says Denmar, Mind says the same! ;)
Come on England, they're only Vikings!
I will be shocked if England do not win 4-1
I think they will tie and there will be miracles in penalty kicks.
Denmark are a great team but England should make home advantage (and very little travelling) count... surely?

@MEHJones So Damsgaard is now also on 2
Over 1.5
@KingKeno Cash it
If Anglia win this match 1-0 they deserve to lose against Italia! In this game we should have like 3-4goals at least!
@MasterBet no, you shouldn't
I'm pretty sure any football fan other than English roots for Denmark here lol. England used to choke at crucial moments, let's see how it goes.
@NHJ you shouldn't be so sure because you are probably wrong. I'm not English and don't watch much EPL but I sure hope the English wins this one
@NHJ England is on another level, sure Denmark plays with heart but at the end of the day it will be England against - Italy in the finals.

@tinyclaw - It's pretty clear what he means actually....He says that he will be shocked if England do not win 4-1, obviously.
Denmark is playing like leicster city did they have the spirit and heart for erikson they will win euro2020
Denmark upset win because they play with heart
@MorrisBuck88 - Yeah right, none of the England players have a heart.
England will win.
7-0 England (light work)
@FF2021 Let's not exagerate here. It will only be 6-0 .
England player ransom bubble? Kane chance to champion? game to verify. Eanland win = Quench Kane's Thirst Denmark win = mental victory OR England player ransom bubble. 2-1 OR 0-0

@Killingjoke jesus man, thats a pretty woke take for a bloody football website. brexit wasnt racist if thats what you're implying
@Killingjoke Leave your woke communist BS out of it.
@DonaldJTrump "everything I don't like is communist and woke" lmao fitting nickname

@tinyclaw apart from 1966 you mean?
@eastend1 I mean before actually winning the final of the tournament they are currently in.
I'd be totally shocked if england don't win this game
England 2-0
1-0
Denmark scraped a draw with Germany, lost to Finland and Belgium. 1-0
England win the game.
Come on England!
Good luck Denmark!

@Gabozoy I know how good of a team Denmark are. That's why I said England will underestimate them. I knew straight away after the Ukraine match.
England to Win 1 goal to nil.
@Djhusha PENS
