Team News

Brighton
Leeds
  • Deniz Undav scored on his first start for Brighton in midweek, but is unlikely to leapfrog Danny Welbeck in the pecking order for Saturday's welcome of Leeds.
  • Jakub Moder and Jeremy Sarmiento both sit out the home encounter.
  • Graham Potter may use the same XI that started the win at West Ham.
  • Jesse Marsch remains without Junior Firpo, Luke Ayling and Stuart Dallas for the trip to Brighton.
  • Patrick Bamford needs assessing, but may not be risked.
  • Marsch could go with the same XI that started at Chelsea, though summer signing Luis Sinisterra is pushing for a first league start having netted in midweek.

Prediction

  • Brighton have made an impressive start to the season having picked up seven points from their opening three league matches, and booked their place in the next round of the Carabao Cup in midweek. The Seagulls are unbeaten in their last six home meetings with Leeds, keeping a clean sheet in all six games.
  • The Whites, though, have made an equally impressive start to 2022/23 with a 3-0 win over Chelsea last time out ensuring they too have earned seven points from three matches. They did throw away a two-goal lead in their only away game of the campaign, however.
  • This could be a very entertaining game between two free-flowing teams.
