Chelsea
West Ham
- A knee injury could keep Trevoh Chalobah out again for Chelsea, while Thomas Tuchel will be desperate to have Reece James back from illness.
- Ruben Loftus-Cheek has trained despite a hamstring problem and Mateo Kovacic is not yet fully fit to start.
- Conor Gallagher could therefore get an immediate recall after serving a one-match ban in midweek.
- Kai Havertz still doesn't quite look the part for Chelsea but Tuchel doesn't feel he has the options to change much in attack.
- Ben Chilwell is definitely second choice at left-back now and should soon start to fear for his chances of featuring for England at the 2022 World Cup.
- Wesley Fofana has officially signed from Leicester and could make a full debut straight away here to give Thiago Silva a rest.
- Deadline day signing Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang is out for a few weeks with a broken jaw. Denis Zakaria won't have a work permit in time.
- Club-record signing Lucas Paqueta could make a full debut for West Ham here.
- Ben Johnson has been ruled out and Aaron Cresswell is a major doubt too.
- Emerson will be desperate to line up against old club Chelsea this weekend.
- Gianluca Scamacca wasn't even in the squad to face Tottenham in midweek.
That clown Mendy should be sent to train with the kids.
Saved by Chilwell. This Tuchel formation is awful. It's not like Chelsea don't have the money to improve their team (they spent way too much, in fact). It's just that the manager likes this ugly game.
@MrNemobody Not sure it's him. His Dortmund and PSG sides were easy on the eye. And they keep trying to boost attack. Just had a ton of flops. Also a lot of players left and every time Kante has injury spells, their performance drops a lot. Havertz and Mount out of form doesn't help
Shitty Chelsea slips in a win again.
@Yassine_1
Maybe players are excited and distracted by UCL starting again. Lot of contenders seem to underperform this weekend
F*ck this. Watching Loftus Cheek plays irritates me so much, always passing back or wide, even though it’s clear up front.
@Frei98 Everybody knows you hate RLC, no need to keep repeating that, mate.
@MrNemobody I’d tried to watch but eventually gave up after seeing chelsea didn't change much from the previous matches with him playing.
Loftus-cheek again? High possibility of draw or lose for chelsea then
Both teams to score.
Mendy; Fofana, Thiago Silva, Koulibaly; James, Kovacic, Jorginho, Cucurella; Mount, Broja, Sterling. Tuchel wants a response so this is the game you’ll see Chelsea players chasing after every ball. Prediction: Chelsea 2-0 West Ham.
1X and both to score.
