Team News

Southampton
Brentford
  • Ainsley Maitland-Niles is a potential doubt after missing the match with Manchester United on Sunday through injury, so will have to be assessed before this game.
  • Juan Larios and Tino Livramento both remain sidelined with injury.
  • Thomas Strakosha remains out with an ankle injury.
  • Keane Lewis-Potter will be out for a few weeks, owing to a knee injury.

Prediction

  • Southampton recorded an important point on the road on Sunday as they drew 0-0 with Manchester United. The result means that since Ruben Selles took charge of Saints, they have only lost once in four Premier League matches and he recorded only their second home league win of the season against Leicester just over a week ago, after they had previously gone eight games without a win at St Mary's in the league.
  • Brentford had their 12 game unbeaten run in the league ended on the weekend by Everton, who won 1-0, as the Bees continued their poor form away from home, which has seen them win only twice in 12 games on the road in the league all season.
  • In the three Premier League meetings between these sides, since Brentford's promotion, there has been 11 goals scored, generally in Thomas Frank's side's favour, so a score draw is possible.

  • how much Throw-ins was it?

  • Southampton might actually pull an upset here, but I think a draw is more likely.

  • 1-1

  • Southampton draw no bet, they are 3 points away from climbing out of relegation, Brentford not as good in the road. The Saints have improved defensively they just need to find more ways to score, that's why I lean towards the draw no bet over the straight win.

  • BBC: Postponed due to the death of the Queen.

  • 2-1
