Team News

Chelsea
Wolves
  • Wesley Fofana was forced off in the first half of Chelsea's 3-0 win over AC Milan, with Trevoh Chalobah in line to deputise in defence.
  • N'Golo Kante is still not ready, while Edouard Mendy may have to settle for a place on the bench yet again.
  • Ruben Loftus-Cheek deserves to keep his place in the team after his display against Milan, but Marc Cucurella could return here.
  • A 2-0 loss at West Ham last weekend cost Bruno Lage his job as Wolves boss, with Julen Lopetegui, who was sacked by Sevilla on Wednesday, backed to take over.
  • It remains to be seen how Wolves set up at Chelsea, but the man at the helm for Saturday is without suspended pair Ruben Neves and Nathan Collins.
  • Raul Jimenez, Sasa Kalajdzic and Pedro Neto are all out, so former Blues man Diego Costa may lead the line.
  • Hwang Hee-Chan is back in training and will be assessed.

Prediction

  • Chelsea maintained their unbeaten start to life under Graham Potter with a 3-0 win over AC Milan on Wednesday night. They have failed to win three of their last four home meetings with Wolves, however.
  • The visitors are in dire straits following their 2-0 loss at West Ham at the weekend. Wolves are currently 18th and have scored just three goals after the opening eight games.
  • Anything but a home win would be a surprise.

  • Chelsea have been very impressive since Potter arrived.

  • Mount finally playing in his natural position and shining. Gallagher also had an amazing game.

  • Potter spot on with the rested players and subs.

  • I miss Ziyech, lmao, atleast Tuchel used to give him 10mins or so, this Harry Potter guy buried our boy Ziyech in the bench haha

  • @TetouanMorocco He walks on the field like he's Messi. I wouldn't want him either to be honest. Man, at least pull your shoulders up and show some work rate, some enthusiasm. These Chelsea managers are terrible, but that's a Chelsea thing, they are an anti-football team. Ziyech is the type of guy who doesn't care that he isn't playing, as long as the checks keep coming in. I really dislike him.

  • @TetouanMorocco There is probably a reason for it if no manager gives him playtime.

  • @neumi17 I know mate, he lost his football form completely, but I always get this hope or idea that if he plays like three consecutive games 90min he'll restore it, but they don't do that which is understandable in big clubs.

  • @TetouanMorocco Chelsea's attackers routinely play 5 consecutive games like shit. Havertz is terrible half of the time, yet he's playing. Werner never played a good game at Chelsea, yet he more minutes than Ziyech. Ziyech is just an unlikeable person.

  • @Yassine_1 That makes some sense tbh

  • Havertz to be the worst player and being subbed at halftime or the 60th minute at the latest.

  • @neumi17 Despite his goal he was the second worst player at Chelsea today. If you deduct the 1.2 rating for a goal being scored his rating was 5.9 before and after the goal.

  • Wolves have such great players. It's quite amazing how much they're underperforming. Isn't that the manager's fault?

  • @Yassine_1 If you look at Wolves squad you have to wonder who is supposed to score the goals. It was harsh to sack manager since it wasn't his fault that all of the strikers are injured or out off form. Jimenez hasn't been the same since that fractured skull, new striker Kalajdžić will be out till next summer, Diego Costa is old and Hee-chan Hwang is just bad. Traore, Neto and co. are just a bunch runners and neat tricks.

  • @jakey They are terrible leading up into the third of the field. But why is the question. On paper they should be causing problems for defenses. Costa is only 34.

  • @Yassine_1 Nuno shouldn't have left, they miss Nuno and he misses them, also they lost two of the best defenders Coady and Sais, they were a cheat code together.

  • BTTS - NO

  • 2-1 Chelsea

  • 1-0 in 98'

  • Chelsea to score over 1.5 goals @1.53

  • @yourfootballtips.com lol

  • Chelsea 4-0 if they play like they did against AC Milan.

  • Diego Costa to be shown a card @ 4.00 Odds IF he starts the game.

  • Potter style, 1st & 2nd half always different tactic. Wolves will find difficult to match Chelsea without manager in charge in the pitch even though undefeated against Chelsea last 4 matches.

  • If diego costa play, there will be red card in this match..
