Team News

Wolves
Arsenal
  • Wolves are still without Pedro Neto, Raul Jimenez, Sasa Kalajdzic and Chiquinho
  • Matheus Nunes is nearing a return, so will have to be assessed before the game to see if he is ready to play.
  • Diego Costa remains suspended, owing to his straight red card against Brentford, but Nelson Semedo has served his ban and is available.
  • Emile Smith Rowe continues to be ruled out.
  • Takehiro Tomiyasu had a muscular injury, which saw him last only 15 minutes in the win over Zurich last week, so remains a doubt for this game.

Prediction

  • Wolves left it late to knock Leeds out of the League Cup on Wednesday, with a 1-0 win, courtesy of a stunning goal from Boubacar Traore. However, their league form hasn't been as positive, they are winless in their last four games in the Premier League. They are the only side in the league who are yet to hit double figures in goals scored.
  • Arsenal on the other hand went out of the League Cup in the week, losing 3-1 at home to Brighton. There were ten changes from the side which beat Chelsea last weekend and the lineup from that win will likely start here. Arsenal are unbeaten in their last seven in the league and are joint with Newcastle for the best defensive record in the league, having only conceded 11 goals.
  • Expect Arsenal to carry on their positive league form with a win here.
