Klopp made a blunder when he said, "Where's it [the final] next season? Istanbul? Book the hotel." Playing 4 competitions until the last game, the very last minute, and only won 2 minor cup trophies, will mentally hit deep and hard on the players.
Recently someone was saying that where were the rival fans when Liverpool was on top for years, almost certain now that Liverpool finish below United this year. 8 seasons alongside with this one since Klopp joined, Liverpool finished above United for 4 times and will be also 4 times below United in that time. One side self-proclaimed it the best team of PL era, while it was other one's worst era indisputably. That's the difference between a big club and a club with just loud fans, enjoy Gakpo.
@Byakuya - Since 8 October 2015 Liverpool had won a league title, an FA Cup, a League Cup, a Champions League (and made another 2 finals) while MU had only won an FA Cup, a League Cup and an Europa League. Pretty sure that MU has nothing to beat their chest about. Ferguson isn't coming back, so it's no use acting like his era is MU's natural level and only they're a big club.
@andrew7taylor So you're telling me that Liverpool won 4 major trophies in their best PL era meanwhile United won 3 in their worst era for half a century, that simply supports my comment. Stop acting like Ferguson made United a big club, he only did bigger. Let's talk about Paisley era if we're talking about one-man glory, Liverpool was playing in second division with only 5 league titles and without any European trophy. Meanwhile United before Ferguson already had 7 league titles and a CL trophy which was the first for an English club, even Arsenal was bigger than Liverpool.
@Byakuya - So you're telling me you like your strawman arguments?
So you're telling me MU finishing 2nd a couple of times and winning 3 trophies is worse than being relegated, toiling in midtable and not winning a league title between 1967-1993, well into that half century you were talking about?
Before Ferguson MU was a big club like Leeds is a big club now with a bigger stadium, its glory days long behind them.
By the way, it's funny how you're talking about the Paisley "era" as "one-man glory" as if a manager being successful is to be derided, unless he works for Man Utd. You mean Shankley, Fagan or Dalglish?
I pegged you as a emotionally driver homer, your reply simply supports my comment.
@andrew7taylor You're talking about Ferguson but crying about Paisley, Liverpool fans always try to sneak him into biggest manager ever arguments with taking credits from others and now you want to divide his success because you don't want him to be seen as one-man glory for Liverpool? Also sneaking something last happened 49 years ago just to be able to talk about something bad in that half century, making it sound like United were fighting for relegation constantly before Ferguson. Many negative records for United got broken in the last decade, most of them dated back to 50s or even 20s. At least there were valid excuses back then, Munich disaster wiped out one of the best teams on the world at that time and United still didn't struggle until generation of Busby babes ended including a WC winner for England. 3 Ballon D'or winner at that time including him, Liverpool still have 1. What's Liverpool's excuse for staying behind United and Arsenal before 70s? Nothing, sit down.
@Byakuya - You're hilarious. You're trying to convince yourself that only Ferguson winning anything big in 55 years is not a sign of a one-man club, but Paisley being one of 5 league-winning and one of 4 European Cup-winning manager in that time absolutely is xD
I've only ever heard Shankley mentioned in the best manager category and never Paisley, even though he had actually won more.. I'm not surprised, it's not the first time you've made something up.
Since the 1970s Liverpool has actually won 8 league titles (Arsenal 5) and 4 European Cups, twice the amount that MU and Arsenal have, combined... You know nothing, sit down.
@andrew7taylor Now it's 55? Nice math skills, you're making yourself ridiculous. I'm asking why Liverpool was behind Arsenal and United "before" 70s, you're telling me how many cups Liverpool won since then. You don't even know how to read, someone using "xD" shouldn't be higher than 15 anyway so study more instead of trying to discuss with adults here.
@Byakuya 2023-1968=? If it's not 55, then nice maths skills, you're making yourself ridiculous.
You're still conveniently avoiding how only Ferguson winning a league or an European Cup in 55 years doesn't make Man Utd a one-man club, but 5 managers winning the title and 4 managers winning the European Cup does mean it for Liverpool.
Any attempt to seem logical, unbiased and not completely emotional?
@andrew7taylor "Ferguson winning anything big in 55 years" Then apart from not knowing how to read, you also don't know how to write. United didn't win anything big since 1968 and now won in 2023 thanks to him? Shut up with your useless comments already, uneducated troll.
@Byakuya - Seriously that's how you contortion that line? Nice, congrats for seeing into the future and being able to definitely know when MU will win anything next time and do the maths to that point. Perhaps you should play the lottery instead of posting comments here while foaming at the mouth with rage..
Liverpool need to start winning games. They've been shambolic all season, except the one game they played against City. Klopp has been arrogant for 5-6 years and he has to have the ability to turn the corner. Liverpool must be Wolves if they want to catch Newcastle for that all important 4th spot because even the miracle can't get the to win the Champions League
Wolves 0-1 Liverpool

Liverpool were shocking.
AHAHAHA LIVER SOUSAGE COMON

If Liverpool sticks to Klopp after this it is because they can't afford to fire him and paying both his and the future managers salaries
ohhhhh dearrrrrr......
3-2
Physical game, Angry Klopp.
For the first time in a long, long time, I am dreading every coming game for Liverpool
