Team News

Aston Villa
Newcastle
  • Aston Villa remain without Jed Steer, Matty Cash and Philippe Coutinho, who are all still injured.
  • Boubacar Kamara remains an injury doubt for this game.
  • Leon Bailey has a hamstring injury and will be unavailable here.
  • There is just one fresh injury concern for Eddie Howe with Allan Saint-Maximin out for 4-6 weeks with a hamstring problem.
  • Emil Krafth remains sidelined with injury.
  • Ryan Fraser is training with the U21's so won't be involved here.
  • Miguel Almiron is ruled out with a thigh injury, and doesn't look like he will feature at all in April.

Prediction

  • Aston Villa host Newcastle in the Premier League early kick-off on Saturday.
  • Villa are one of the in form teams in the Premier League and are unbeaten in their last seven, with six wins and a draw. They brushed Nottingham Forest away 2-0 last weekend thanks to goals from Ollie Watkins and Bertrand Traore.
  • Newcastle remain third in the league standings and have won all of their last five Premier League outings. They have also won their last three away matches including a 2-1 victory against Brentford at the weekend.
  • The visitors won the reverse fixture 4-0 back in October and given their current form it's likely they will claim the points, however, Villa under Emery are a tough nut to crack so it might not be as free-scoring as it was at St James' Park.

  • Watkins scores yet again ! Hope he now gets his hat trick.

  • If Pope done like Karius, this match will be more madness

  • Lovely

  • Maybe I need glasses but to me the goal of Waskins was bad disalllowed, at least cameras don't show the offside position, and to me Watkins was behind the elbow of the defender.

  • @dib Got the revenge 5 minutes later . Watkins is on fire!

  • @dib And could have been a hat trick! that guy it's just a beast! Can't remember if he played at the WC last year, did he play?

  • @dib He didn't make it in the WC or Euros squads but should have done. Mings should have been in the WC squad too.

  • Draw

  • Bet W1

  • both to score, Watkins is a beast recently

  • 2-2
