Skipp and Sarr actually did better than most people expected. Conte should've taken Son off earlier, put on Richarlison up front, and dropped Kane deeper.
@conan defense is hard mkay... also the lack of world class CB is real right now. Gone are the days of Ramos, Chiellini, and Puyol. Thiago Silva is 38, van Dijk is on fast decline, the starting CBs of big clubs now are good but not world class by previous era's standard.
@vieri - Not sure I agree. In my humble opinion, I think there are still plenty of excellent centre backs but the formation of teams and style of play continues to change. For example, there's a trend towards using shorter, more skilful centre backs, rather than the traditional 6.2 hard men, and these players make up for their lack of size with better ball handling and passing skills. At Man United, for example, Martinez is 5.9 and all the pundits gave him no chance in the premier league, but his drive and passion and ball handling skills continue to prove them all wrong. OK, he needs a big Centre back partner, but his size no longer seems to be a negative issue. Just my thoughts. What do you think in response?
@vieri - That's the same thing people who don't know anything about coaching said 30 years ago when every team switched from 3 defenders to 4. Turns out, it has more to do with allowing the fullbacks to start higher up the pitch and play an attacking game than the lack of quality CBs.
Both teams are struggling for form and have significant injury problems. Neither team have their first choice goal keeper. Moreover, Tottenham are missing both Bentancur and Højbjerg an will need too rely on Skipp and Sarr in the middle or perhaps even Dier... If AC Milan score first and early they could easily run out 4-0 winners but if the score stays low until half time and Tottenham score first it could be more of a contest. Optimistically, Tottenham to score from a set piece header (Kane) and Milan to score late from a cross from the wing (to Giroud). AC Milan 1-1 Tottenham
Hojberg and Bentancur out? That's terrible for Spurs I wouldn't favor them against Forrest at this point. You've got to be smoking something with Skipp and Dier in midfield. Forster was less than impressive against Foxes. even with Conte owning Pioli and Milan struggling I just can't see a Spurs win and with a good a result Milan can jump start something possibly they've got to come away with a win in the home tie.

That's Bush League stuff from Spurs. Just woeful. They'll turn it around in the return fixture, but still..that was dreadful stuff by them.
Hmm, why every big team used 3 defender now

It is beyond belief how this jumping jack manages to botch important games.
Somebody go pull Kane out of Simon Kjaer's pocket
Mirante starting over Tatarusanu?
