Team News

Real Madrid
  • Vinicius Junior was injured in the warmup against Atletico Madrid and is now suffering from a muscle injury. He is doubtful for the game against Girona.
  • Brahim Diaz should fill Vini Jr's boots in attack, having scored in the draw against Atletico last week.
  • Daley Blind is suspended for this one due to picking up too many yellow cards, although Girona are appealing this along with Michel's touchline suspension, too.
  • Yangel Herrera is suspended for this one.
  • Artem Dovbyk is suffering from a knee injury but the club are hoping to have him ready for the Madrid game.
  • Savio has signed a pre-contract agreement with Manchester City and will join them in the summer.

  • Real Madrid take on Girona at the Bernabeu on Saturday evening in arguably the most important match in La Liga thus far. Victory for either side will see a deserved table topper in the league, with both teams having played the same number of games.
  • Girona's only defeat in the league has come at the hands of Real Madrid in the reverse fixture - revenge will be firmly on their minds, on top of the importance of the fixture.
  • Artem Dovbyk's fitness will be a crucial factor in this match. His goal scoring prowess this season has been key for Girona in outscoring their opponents to accumulate 56 points this season.
  • A victory for them would see them leapfrog Real for the first time this season and lead by a point. If the hosts were to take three points they would go five points clear at the top of La Liga.

  • Carlo Ancelotti is thrashing the main title rival while having no centre backs available without conceding. This is a masterclass, if I ever saw one.

  • @Sputnik Girona is not main title rival, come on

  • @tar88s Who is it then? Girona have been the second best team in La Liga all season. Barcelona and Atletico suck right now.

  • @Sputnik The issue is that there is no one. Girona level is worse and worse, I have been watching all their games recently, and they were extremely lucky not to lose against Almeria for example. They were bad against Athletic and Betis, had their luck Vs Atletico, mediocre with Sociedad. If you watched any of this game you would not call Girona a title rival, seriously. They are only if to watch on the table, but their game is not reflecting it at all and they gonna drop out of the top 4 moat likely.

  • @Sputnik indeed he proves again and again he is one of the top coaches ever

  • @koziol.mutant He is THE best ever! The most Champions League trophies won proves it.

  • Jr +120 / Dovbyk +200 To Score Anytime

  • Real Vardrid win, easy here. No chance for poor Girona...

  • 3-1 Real will prove who is the boss

  • Referees will help Madrid win this match, as always! LaLiga is adulterated

  • @kskmela Yes, the referees scored 4 goals for them.

  • @kskmela kiddie, put some ice on it!

  • There will be a lot of scouts watching this especially a few english clubs to see Brazilian sensation Savio.

  • @Marbella Man City are saying they have agreed a deal but the FA could block the deal hence the other clubs wanting him.

  • BTTS and Over 2.5 goals.

  • "A victory will see them leapfrog Real Madrid fur the first timebthis season ". This can't be true. They have exchanged the top spot between them before. Anyways, Real 2-2 Girona

  • draw maybe ...2-2
