Man City

FK Crvena Zvezda
- Kevin De Bruyne remains absent for Manchester City.
- However, Pep Guardiola could welcome Mateo Kovacic, John Stones and Jack Grealish back into the first team fold for Tuesday's game.
- Aleksandar Katai is FK Crvena Zvezda's only confirmed absentee.
- Having used a four-man backline in the weekend's 2-1 defeat to FK Cukaricki, head coach Barak Bakhar may revert to a three-man defence at Manchester City.

To make light work of Zvezda, City would need to play in a confident, agile fashion, turning directly towards the opponent's goal, instead of constantly playing with their backs towards the opposing goal, passing back to their own defence and passing around slowly in an old boys fashion to maintain possession. Football is about scoring goals, NOT about maintaining possession. Watching City's games last season, it stood out their persistent inability to score early in the first half: most of their goals came in the second half - something Premiership teams failed to capitalise on. If you give me 30-40 minutes to settle in my game, I will settle so quickly that you will be down 2 goals in a heartbeat: this is what a good coach's thinking should be like. Not to mention that slow game building was a disaster for the likes of Haaland and Mahrez, who both thrive on quick counterattacks. Haaland's goal tally should have been double of what he has currently, should a proper coach be his boss.
@Zoltan that's awesome
@Zoltan go away
@Zoltan I've not signed into this website for years. But I had to today, just to call you a moron.
@MrTurvey You're a city fan, your input on football matters does not count.
@MrTurvey looool
Please Pep and the rest of Man City team mates....support and help Haaland score 6 goals to break the record...7 goals will live for a very long time but 6 should be fine for this season....don't forget that the club will always be mentioned when the record is brought up....Do your best guys...
