Tottenham
Man City
- Despite playing on Thursday in the Europa League against Hearts, Spurs should be fresh with Redknapp having rested all of his big name stars.
- Tottenham have a long list of potential absentees, though the likes of Sandro, Steven Pienaar and Ledley King are certainties to miss out.
- Youngster Kyle Walker is a doubt having fallen ill at half-time against United last time out, meaning either Vedran Corluka or Alan Hutton could start.
- Brad Friedel is likely to start ahead of Heurelho Gomes in goal having got the nod in the league opener.
- Luka Modric's future at the club remains far from certain, with Niko Kranjcar and youngster Jake Livermore filling in the central midfield slots to now, but Redknapp remains optimistic of keeping the Croat who may feature on Sunday.
- Having completed the loan signing of Emmanuel Adebayor, Spurs will be unable to play their new striker this time out due to the fact that he was loaned from their weekend opponents
- Manchester City completed the signing of Samir Nasri this week and have added to an already eye-catching attack in the process, though the Frenchman may well be given time to bed in to the side.
- Sergio Aguero failed to add to his 2-goal debut account last week but looked menacing and should keep his place ahead of Carlos Tevez, while Edin Dzeko continues to impress this term.
- James Milner will be hoping his impressive display against Bolton keeps the likes of Johnson and Balotelli on the bench while Gareth Barry will be fighting to keep his place ahead of Nigel De Jong who remains a doubt with a foot injury.
- New signing Gael Clichy may return to replace Kolarov at left-back, with that slot still seemingly up for grabs for one of the duo.
