Team News
Arsenal
Man Utd
- Having missed the game at Swansea with a calf injury, Mikel Arteta will remain sidelined for the big match.
- Perhaps the biggest news for Arsenal is that Thomas Vermaelen is unlikely to be fit enough to start, but if he was to do he would play at left-back in place of Ignasi Miquel due to the continuing injury crisis at the Emirates.
- All eyes will once again be on the Gunners' teamsheet before the game with many fans hoping to see Thierry Henry's name replacing that of the out of sorts Andrey Arshavin, though Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain will also hope to be Wenger's plans.
- The likes of Anderson, Phil Jones and Chris Smalling all sat out of the game with Bolton with knocks but should be fit and in contention for Sunday's game.
- Alex Ferguson must decide whether to keep faith in Paul Scholes, though the pace of the game against Arsenal will be very different to the match with Bolton in which the veteran opened the scoring.
- Scholes could be replaced by Ryan Giggs (one year his senior) in the United midfield, though Jones, Anderson and Park will all hope to partner Michael Carrick in midfield, with the likes of Rafael and Evans likely to keep their places at the back.

inevitable result...
Rooney, What a dive !
lol @regev
its just my ot welbeck looks like the fresh prince (will smith)?
Many players missing...
For some reason I think Arsenal could get a result but at the moment it seems like them and Chelsea are surrendering 4th place for one another
I'd 8-2 watch this if I was an Arsenal fan. They have no hope. Scholes vs Henry in a battle of who has lost the most mobility over the last 3 years!
No Arteta is a huge loss for Arsenal. They are just too weak all over the pitch to win this one
Arsenal don't have a prayer without Vermaelen. Valencia will have an absolute field day against Miquel
2-1 arsenal
Can Henry stike again..? Man U fans won't be happy to see him playing again tomorrow!
No-one is going to doubt RVP, he's outstanding. But look at the support he has: Arshavin is non-existant, Walcott is hit and miss and Oxade Chamberlain is totally unproven. Put them against Valencia, Nani and Rooney and I know i'd bet on Man Utd
I just dont have faith in a depleted arsenal team vs a relatively strong Man U team. It's never going to be 8-2, but if Vermaelen doesnt make it, the gunners have 3 shakey defenders in a starting back line.
I'm surprised both teams can even field a team with that many players missing!
I can't w8-2 watch this match! Without so many players draw would be a good result but I trust in RvP. C'mon Arsenal.
I'd 8-2 be an arsenal fan this weekend
revenge for 8-2?? i dont think so...
those missing player lists are massive!
