Team News
Chelsea
QPR
- Roberto Di Matteo has a number of issues to deal with after one of the club's greatest nights in midweek, as Chelsea overcame Barcelona to reach the final of the Champions League.
- Gary Cahill was forced off in that match, adding to Chelsea's defensive worries, with Luiz and Ivanovic already absent through injury and suspension, respectively.
- Ashley Cole has been struggling of late with an injury and has missed a few recent Premier League matches as a result. He may not be risked here so as to be sure he will be fit for the two finals his side face at the end of the season.
- Oriel Romeu and Michael Essien may provide the cover, allowing Di Matteo to rest some of the players that played the full 90 at the Nou Camp.
- Adel Taarabt is suspended after his sending off against Tottenham last time out, so Shaun Wright-Phillips could come in out wide. Another option for Mark Hughes might be to bring in Djibril Cisse and play two up front, though that is unlikely given the fact that they are playing away at in-form Chelsea.
- Fitz Hall stands a good chance of returning to the fold soon, but given the clean sheet last week, QPR are unlikely to make any changes to the back four unless they have to.
- Faurlin and Dyer remain absent due to serious injuries.
