Ukraine
- England have their talismanic front man Wayne Rooney available for the first time in the tournament after a 2-game suspension.
- A recurrence of a hamstring problem meant Theo Walcott was a doubt earlier in the week but Hodgson has confirmed that the catalyst for victory against Sweden will be fit to face Ukraine.
- Ashley Young and James Milner's performances out wide have been uninspiring so far so Walcott could be in with a chance of starting this match, though the big decision remains who to drop up front due to Rooney's return, with Carroll perhaps the most likely.
- Veteran striker Andriy Shevchenko was unable to train over the weekend and is the only real doubt for this one having led the line impressively up to now.
- In search of a must win victory, if Shevchenko is not fit, the Ukraine may have to choose between Devic and Milevskiy up front, with the former perhaps more of an attacking threat than the physical Milevskiy.
- Voronin could also move forward but is like to stick to his deeper role for the national side.
@Schweinstylin Whether it crossed the line or not (and it was offside beforehand might I add) if Terry hadn't tracked back to make that clearance would it not have been given as a goal?
Foscari you are an idiot. Assists had mistakes, not Kassai...
Good bye! Shevchenko!
Why aren't you recording a not given goal? Why are you giving that cheater a clearance and if that's not enough, you made him MotM as well? What a joke...
Ukraine is dominating this game so far...
2-1 for Ukraine ! Go Ukraine !!!
England-Ukraine 2-1
England-Ukraine 3:0
I think whats not being taken into account here is who is refereeing the game.It may not matter if the two officials behind the goals might as well be blind and have their guide dogs with them, but I dont know how many of you remember this certain Hungarian gentleman giving Carlos Vela a yellow card for diving when it was a million% penalty for Arsenal against Sporting Braga and I am a Spurs supporter. I fear for England with this referee.
1-2 Rooney / Yarmolenko,Devic

1-1
England 2, Ukraine 1 (Gerrard, Rooney) (Yarmolenko)
