Liverpool
Brighton
- Luis Suarez will once again be the centre of attention for this game. The Uruguay international has apologised to his refusal to shake the hand of Patrice Evra at Old Trafford last week, but many people, Liverpool fans included, have said it is too little too late, so it will be interesting to see how they respond to him, if he is included, that is.
- Long-term absentee Lucas is Liverpool's only injury worry, so Dalglish is likely to rest some of his key players, with the upcoming Carling Cup final in mind.
- Carragher and Rodriguez could well feature, though Dalglish will be sure to field a strong enough team that he feels will still win the tie.
- Brighton are set to sign Manchester City youngster Abdul Rasiak on loan until the the end of the season. It is yet to be seen, though, whether the deal will be done in time for him to be available for this game.
- Gary Dicker (fibia) and Tommy Elphick (achilles) are both definitely out.
- Matt Sparrow returns from suspension and should play.
