Team News

  • Sochaux head into the clash still battling a host of injury problems.
  • Goalkeeper Pierrick Cros has a knee injury and midfielder Carlao is unavailable due to a thigh problem.
  • Mathieu Peybernes is out due to a knee injury, while Jerome Roussillon has hamstring complaint.
  • Thierry Doubai will miss much of the season with a knee ligament injury.
  • Edouard Butin, Sanjin Prcic, Joseph Lopy and Frederic Duplus are all still recovering from long term injuries.
  • Nice have very few new injury concerns going into the clash but still have a number of players unavailable for selection.
  • Diacko Fofana is expected to be out for six months after rupturing the cruciate ligaments in his knee, and midfielder Kevin Anin remains unavailable due to personal problems.
  • Moussa M'Bow is not yet fit enough to return to action, while Stephane Bahoken, Xavier Pentecote and Fabien Dao Castellana are all set to miss out with injuries.
  • Cyril Hennion has a groin injury, but Renato Civelli returns from a one-match suspension.

  • Sochaux and Nice clash at the Stade Auguste Bonal after earning excellent results last weekend.
  • Les Lionceaux earned a 1-0 win at Ajaccio, while Nice's upward surge continued with a one-goal triumph over Toulouse.
  • Both sides are unbeaten in their last three games, each winning two while gaining impressive draws against Lyon and Marseille respectively, but it is the visitors who go into the game with a better record in front of goal, having scored five more goals than Eric Hely's Sochaux so far this term.
  • Striker Dario Cvitanich has been especially impressive recently, and with Jeremy Pied, Valentin Eysseric and Eric Bautheac also playing a key role in the Nice attack they should be able to break down a Sochaux team that is beset by injuries.
  • Nice have yet to taste victory away from home this season, but with Claude Puel's men in good form do not be surprised if they emerge from Montbeliard with another fine win.
