Team News

  • Sochaux head into the clash still battling a host of injury problems.
  • Kalilou Traore and Abdoul Camara are both absentees due to knee injuries, while Goalkeeper Pierrick Cros is still out with a similar problem.
  • Mathieu Peybernes remains on the sidelines with a thigh complaint, and Thierry Doubai will miss much of the season with a knee ligament injury.
  • Cedric Kante also has a knee problem, whilst Edouard Butin, Sanjin Prcic, Joseph Lopy and Frederic Duplus are all still recovering from long term injuries.
  • Lille travel to Montbeliard with two of their main strikers absent through injury.
  • Ryan Mendes is still out with a hamstring injury, while Tulio De Melo has a groin problem.
  • Expect Nolan Roux to start up front in their absence, while Belgian striker Gianni Bruno, who started against Bastia, could also be involved.
  • However there will be a change in goal for Les Dogues, after veteran stopper Mickael Landreau surprisingly terminated his contract with the club. Steeve Elana will likely fill the void left by the former Nantes and PSG man.

  • Sochaux welcome Lille to the Stade Auguste Bonal after earning a surprise point at Bordeaux in their last encounter.
  • Les Lionceaux came from behind to snatch a draw in the dying minutes thanks to a strike from midfielder Rafael Dias. Meanwhile, Lille were held to a disappointing stalemate with newly-promoted side Bastia.
  • Despite that result Lille will undoubtedly be favourites to come away with the three points against a side that have won just twice at home all season.
  • Expect the likes of Ryad Boudebouz, Marvin Martin and Dimitri Payet to be heavily involved in what should be an extremely open game, but with Sochaux suffering from an unprecedented injury crisis, Lille should be able to take advantage of their undoubted superiority and earn a comfortable win.
