Team News

  • Evian are set to be without a number of first team regulars.
  • Brice Dja Djede is out through injury, while Johann Durand is still suspended.
  • Cedric Mongongu, Jonathan Mensah, Mohammed Rabiu, Djakaridja Kone and Saber Khlifa are all on African Cup of Nations duty and will be absent.
  • Ajaccio will be without Ricardo Faty and David Oberhauser, who remain on the sidelines due to injury.
  • Carl Medjani and Mehdi Mostefa are at the African Cup of Nations with Algeria, Fousseni Diawara and Sigamary Diarra are both with the Malian squad and Chahir Belghazouani is with the Moroccan team.

  • Evian and Ajaccio meet in Annecy, both looking to build on decent results as they continue their respective fights against relegation.
  • Les Roses gained a fantastic point as they held Lyon to a goalless draw, while Ajaccio battled to a stalemate with Valenciennes. The visitors sit just one point ahead of Evian going into the clash, however both sides know that a bad result could see them drop into the bottom three.
  • Neither outfit has been particularly prolific in front of goal, but Ajaccio have moved to address their goalscoring failings by signing striker Denis Oliech from Ligue 2 Auxerre.
  • Oliech was one of the more impressive players for Auxerre as they were relegated last term, and the Kenyan's presence may well prove to be the difference in what looks set to be a tight affair.
