Team News

  • Alex McCarthy faces a spell on the sidelines with a shoulder injury, while midfielders Guthrie and Karacan also continue to miss out.
  • Jason Roberts and Noel Hunt got the nod over Pogrebnyak up front at QPR and may well do so once again, with Morrison retaining his place at centre-back.
  • Jimmy Kebe and Hal Robson-Kanu are options on the wings but the team may remain unchanged from the XI that started at Loftus Road.
  • Michael Turner and Javier Garrido both picked up injuries against Stoke and are doubtful, while Russell Martin could also remain sidelined with an ongoing back problem.
  • Garrido is perhaps most likely to feature of the trio, with Steven Whittaker continuing at right-back after making his own comeback from injury last weekend.
  • Ryan Bennett may well replace Turner at the back, but elsewhere the team is likely to remain unchanged from the XI that picked up a win over Stoke last time out.

  • Reading are still yet to win in the Premier League and will feel that a home game against a direct rival in the relegation battle will be the best way to get off the mark and close the gap emerging above them.
  • Norwich are unbeaten in three games, however, and Chris Hughton will want to continue the momentum to see them push further up the table and away from the drop zone.
  • Both sides will really want to win this game, with a draw not really helpful to either, so it should be an entertaining and end-to-end spectacle with little to choose between the two sides.
