Team News
Fulham
Sunderland
- Kieran Richardson came off after 23 minutes with a hamstring injury in Fulham's 3-3 draw at the Emirates last week, and that will keep him out of the starting lineup for this game.
- Mahamadou Diarra missed the game with an unspecified knock and it is not yet clear whether he will return to face Sunderland.
- Damien Duff only appeared from the bench for five minutes in place of Ashkan Dejagah, but he may be fresh and back in the starting XI this time around.
- Chris Baird is suspended so sits out and so Martin Jol may be forced to start Dejagah in central midfield.
- Martin O'Neill has injury worries in a few areas of his team, with top scorer Steven Fletcher arguably his main concern, with an ankle injury having kept him out of the friendly against Luxembourg in midweek.
- Phil Bardsley and Lee Cattermole missed the loss at Everton last week with respective hamstring and knee injuries, but with Gardner suspended, Bardsley may have to play.
- Westwood and McFadden both have knocks but those are unlikely to affect the starting XI, while Wes Brown is still out.
