Aston Villa
Reading
- A calf injury sustained by Ron Vlaar against Arsenal, with Villa's captain now a doubt for Tuesday's game, may well leave Lambert with somewhat of a crisis situation at the back.
- Matt Lowton acted as cover after the Dutch international's departure from the game on Saturday and could do so once again, though Nathan Baker could also be an option to partner Clark, with Richard Dunne still unlikely to feature due to fitness concerns.
- Darren Bent was back available for the game at the weekend but left out of the squad altogether and after an impressive point on Saturday changes look set to be kept to a minimum.
- Brian McDermott will be pleased that, despite a defeat at Wigan, his side have looked more potent in attack with Adam Le Fondre in the side, while Sean Morrison is receiving some rave reviews at the other end.
- With no fresh injury concerns changes are likely to be minimal, with Tabb and McCleary perhaps the biggest competition for places as they both hope to line up in midfield.
- With Kebe still a doubt Hal Robson-Kanu should keep his place on the opposite flank to captain Jobi McAnuff.
Lambert doesnt even know what his best XI is...
