Team News

  • Everton's injury worries are subsiding somewhat, with Coleman, Neville and Pienaar all having recently shaken off knocks.
  • Leighton Baines was withdrawn after an hour against Cheltenham with an ankle injury, though, and while that might have been precautionary, he is a minor doubt here.
  • Neville could start in central midfield ahead of Thomas Hitzlsperger again after Everton's comeback win at Newcastle in their last Premier League outing.
  • With only Neil Taylor and Darnel Situ out through injury, Swansea manager Michael Laudrup has selection dilemmas in midfield and up front.
  • Michu will certainly start, probably up front, with Swansea then able to add another midfielder behind him for this game, a tough trip to face Everton at Goodison Park.
  • Danny Graham will be disappointed if he does not start, having scored in Swansea's last 4 games, including an important late equaliser against Arsenal in the FA Cup.

  • Swansea's impressive start to the season was halted by losses to Aston Villa and Everton, with the Toffees winning 3-0 at the Liberty back in September. They have now played each other 3 times since Swansea's promotion in 2011, with Everton winning each time and Swansea failing to score a single goal.
  • After the incredible midweek win over Chelsea, Swansea are now unbeaten in 6 games in all competitions, though they have won only 1 of their last 6 Premier League outings.
  • Everton came from behind to seal an impressive win at Newcastle last time out in the Premier League, before strolling past Cheltenham in the cup. Their only loss since mid-November was the recent defeat to Chelsea, and they should continue their good run of form with another win here.

  • everton to win fellini to score

  • I don't expect us to get anything from this match! Our last 3 fixtures against Everton has seen us lose 1-0, 2-0 and 3-0. I also expect Laudrup to change the team around what with being in the midst of a fixture congestion! Tremmel, Ben Davies, Leon Britton, Michu, Pablo Hernandez and possibly Chico Flores to be benched ahead of the FA Cup replay with the Gooners on Wednesday night. Vorm, Bartley, Tiendalli, Agustien, Dyer and Graham to start in their place. I'd be delighted with a draw.

  • swansea are playing well but everton will be too strong at home, 3-2 everton
