Team News

  • League leaders Utd will have to make do without Wayne Rooney once again but he should be well on the road to recovery by now.
  • However, Nani and Anderson have returned to action and could both be in the squad.
  • Evans and Ferdinand will likely play at the back but Nemanja Vidic is back to full fitness now and provides a selection dilemma in defence.
  • Javier Hernandez scored twice and set up another in the win over Wigan on New Years Day but he was less impressive against West Ham in the FA Cup and could return to the bench.
  • Jose Enrique is set to be out for a few weeks with a hamstring injury, so Andre Wisdom will play at right-back again with Glen Johnson on the left.
  • In recent weeks Joe Allen has started on the bench with Jordan Henderson preferred. Given that Liverpool have won their last 2 league games 3-0, they will probably stick with those players.
  • Daniel Sturridge made a goalscoring start to life at Liverpool and could be in line for his first Premier League game for his new club, though he may only appear from the bench, where he may be joined by a fit again Fabio Borini.

  • One of the most feisty and fiercely contested games in Premier League history, this fixture has seen 14 red cards over the years, and a great deal of drama to boot. Despite United's greater success in recent years, results have been fairly balanced between the teams.
  • The last 5 fixtures in all competitions have seen 2 wins apiece and a draw, though generally the home team has dominated. With United top of the table and 7 points clear, they will go all out for the win and will dominate on home soil.
  • The Red Devils have won 8 of their last 9 league games, and while Liverpool have won 5 of their last 7 to move up to 8th in the table, United are in unstoppable form and should be victorious. The fans will be fired up for the derby and that could will add to the hostile atmosphere. We should see a fair few cards and a portion of drama as well.

  • The Webb myth is one of the most retarded in the history of football. Liverpool tried to play it out from the back in the first half and United pressed and punished them. They then sat back after going 2-0 up to deal with the extra threat up front. Clinical from SAF.

  • Webb did a good job

  • Reina 5.8, not sure how you work that one out.. Kept LFC in the game.

  • goal counted for evra not for vidic

  • First half: United have been dominant.

  • Great goal by Man Utd 1-0!!!

  • score 3-2

  • game is over before it begins, what can liverpool do when webb is on the pitch AND against united? How this man is still a reff is unbelievable. In my eyes its pretty clear that fergie or someone is paying him out, because the way he goes about games with pool or united in it is just ridiculous. Its biased from the first minute, always going with united/against pool in 50/50 decisions, heck even in 70/30 decisions he is more than happy to go against pool.

  • over 2.5

  • liverpool to win 4:0 and clean sheet. Suarez hat-rick and Gerrard freekick!!

  • Manchester United's win 1-0

  • DRAW 2-2

  • i chelsea fans..but now i relly hope liverpool take 3 point..!!because united vry weak in defense..!!GOAL AGAINST TOO MUCH!!!SUAREZ I COUNTING TO YOU!!

  • all y'all getting too excited it's going to be a bore draw. 0-0 or 1-0 to either team, whoever get's lucky

  • i trust my team,we gonna do it tommorow man utd 3 vs 1 liverpool

  • Liverpool to win 3-1

  • I think no more clean sheet for United, but I hope United will score more goals than Liverpool.

  • united to win to nil,the boo boys will be out for suarez

  • United to win by 1 goal, either 2-1 or 3-2 I reckon. Huge game!

  • United should win this one but it will be close. Both teams to score

  • Howard Webb will be the referee for this one. So... 3 points for United it is. :|

  • good luck for levar ,,

  • 3-2 united, liverpool always play well against united.

  • united has got this one. RVP.

  • The two greatest teams in English footballing history come together for what is the biggest fixture of the season. Both sides in good form but United are carrying some serious power this season and have to be favourites, especially with home advantage. If Liverpool can generate some form of control and time on the ball in midfield then it will be a extremely close encounter. Defense is becoming a big weakness for each team and with the world class firepower in Suarez and Van Persie on show there should be plenty of goals. Come on Liverpool!! This season is all about development and character building. A strong performance with intelligent and calm play could lead to a phenomenal result and a great stepping stone on our journey back to the top of the game. Keep your fingers crossed, and lets go for it!!

  • Big game! Liverpool might pull a surprise.

  • victory 4 united bt suarez will b key player 4 liverpool 2 save from big defeat

  • another 4-1 victory at OT ynwa!!!

  • Massive game for us United fans as well!!! Derby day ;) Going to be a tough match against Liverpool ,as always!!!
