Levante
- Atleti continued their amazing record at home going with two more victories at the Vicente Calderon over the past week to extend their winning run to 17 games.
- Moreover, Los Rojiblancos have not even conceded a goal in their last nine games at home in all competitions, but they could be forced into a reshuffle at the back for the visit of Levante as both Juanfran and Filipe Luis are doubts after picking up injuries in the 2-0 win over Betis in the Copa del Rey on Thursday.
- Diego Simeone sent out a strong line-up for that game so there unlikely to be too many changes but Koke and Tiago could come back in for Raul Garcia and Mario Suarez respectively.
- Levante's 100% record in the early Sunday kick-offs came to a halt last weekend as they were beaten 2-0 by Betis and finally overtaken in the table by city rivals Valencia.
- Juan Ignacio Martinez will also be without one of his experienced campaigners for the trip to the capital as Juanfran is suspended so Nikos Karabelas will get a rare league start at left-back.
- Jose Barkero has though shrugged off the injury problem that has kept him out since the start of the year and is expected to return to the starting line-up, as will Vicente Iborra after being suspended last time out.
