Rayo Vallecano
- Sevilla got their first league win under new manager Unai Emery last time out with a 3-0 victory over Granada thanks to goals from Geoffrey Kondgobia, Alvaro Negredo and Gary Medel.
- However, after naming broadly the same side for Thursday's Copa del Rey first-leg defeat at Atletico Madrid, Emery may feel inclined to freshen things up for the visit of Rayo.
- At the very least Jose Antonio Reyes is expected to come back in, but Beto is expected to keep his place in goal as Andres Palop remains an injury doubt.
- Rayo won again at Vallecas last weekend to remarkably move to within a point of the Champions League places as they hammered Betis 3-0.
- Piti was one of those on target again for the Franjirrojos but the midfielder won't be able to keep his scoring streak going this weekend as he is suspended.
- His goal threat could though be replaced by the fit again Leo Baptistao, the Brazilian missed the last two games with a hamstring injury, and Jose Carlos could also return to the starting XI against his old club after making a positive impact by scoring the third as a substitute against Betis.
