Barcelona
- Mallorca's losing streak in the league stretched to five games with defeat at Deportivo last weekend and Joaquin Caparros' men face a huge challenge against the league leaders this weekend with a squad decimated by injury.
- Giovani dos Santos has become the latest player to be ruled out, meaning Caparros is without seven first-team players and is almost forced to pick the same 11 that started against Depor.
- Surprisingly though Andreu Fontas is clear to play despite being on-loan from Barcelona.
- Barcelona suffered their first defeat since August at Celtic on Wednesday night despite enjoying the largest share of possession they have all season and Tito Vilanova may rotate his squad for the trip to Mallorca.
- Gerard Pique could make his first start in two months after coming on as a late substitute in Glasgow, whilst Sergio Busquets, Cesc Fabregas and David Villa are also likely to come back into the starting line-up.
- Carles Puyol has also started training with the first team again but Sunday is expected to come too early for his return so Javier Mascherano will continue in defence.
