Espanyol
Sevilla
- Espanyol got off the mark in Javier Aguirre's first match in charge with a 0-0 draw at Granada, but they need to start picking up wins if they are to get off the foot of the table. They have a decent chance here against a Sevilla side whose league form of late hasn't been great.
- Sergio Garcia serves the third of his four-game suspension, but Hector Moreno should return as his ban is now up.
- Otherwise Christian Stuani is the only doubt for the Catalans so Samuele Longo could regain his place as the lone striker.
- Sevilla, meanwhile, suffered their fourth defeat in six league games as a depleted side went down 2-1 to Valladolid on Monday night.
- Emir Spahic, Federico Fazio and Ivan Rakitic all return from suspension, but Antonio Luna is still banned and so is Gary Medel after he was sent-off for the second time this season in the Valladolid game.
- Alvaro Negredo also remains on the sidelines through injury so Baba Diawara will continue up front.
- Hedwiges Maduro and Manu del Moral are both doubtful.
