Team News
Valencia
Real Sociedad
- Valencia's awful form on the road continued last weekend as they were thrashed 4-0 by Malaga to slip into the bottom-half of the table, although still just four points off the Champions League places.
- Mauricio Pellegrino's team selection will be made a lot easier by the return of Roberto Soldado from suspension, whilst Joao Pereira could also be fit again to start.
- However, Adil Rami and Tino Costa are both suspended so there could also be returns for Victor Ruiz and Dani Parejo.
- Real Sociedad stretched their unbeaten run to three last weekend, but their momentum was halted slightly by a 0-0 draw with Osasuna.
- Asier Illarramendi will miss the trip to the Mestalla as he is banned so Ruben Pardo should reclaim a spot in central midfield, whilst Philippe Montanier must decide on which of his numerous striking options to go with.
- Gonzalo Castro and Imanol Agirretxe started on the bench last time out as the Basques failed to fire, but Carlos Vela and Diego Ifran have been fundamental in their turnaround of late so may be handed another chance to start.
