Real Valladolid
- Deportivo are now rooted to the foot of the table having suffered their fourth defeat in five games and were embarrassed by a Radamel Falcao masterclass as they lost 6-0 to Atleti last time out.
- Jose Luis Oltra will though have a much stronger squad to choose from this weekend as Carlos Marchena, Ze Castro and Nelson Oliveira have returned from injury, Aythami is free from suspension and Pizzi is available to play having been ineligible against his parent-club Atleti.
- Their returns will mean Roderick, Insua and Javier Camunas will drop out, whilst Oliveira will almost certainly replace Riki around the hour mark.
- Valladolid's winning run was cut short by Real Madrid last weekend as the champions twice came from a goal down before eventually running out 3-2 winners.
- As well as losing the game though La Pucela suffered a huge blow with the news that Patrick Ebert is likely to miss the rest of the year with a hamstring injury.
- Jesus Rueda also remains out injured so Marc Valiente and Henrique Sereno will continue at the back, whilst Manucho will lead the line up front after grabbing just his fifth and sixth goals of the season against Madrid.
